Now that it appears that Lionel Messi is leaving Barca, l was day-dreaming about what would happen if we managed to bring him to CCFC. He would obviously have an effect on the team but would it be enough to get us promoted?

Who knows, hed likely have two men on him every match which would definitely help but would other players raise their game?
I’ve always thought if I were a top level footballer who had made my money and won my trophies I’d spend a year or two in the lower leagues just to take the piss and enjoy my football. But I imagine you always think you’ve got more to give at the top until you haven’t and then it’s too late. Rooney hardly tore up trees in this division, not that he’s at the same level.
