Not sure Halford is the type of player we need.

Thought Harry Maguire was a good shout the other week.

Would prefer Maguire over Halford but would be delighted with either.

Based in Bournemouth but doubt he's even getting chance to bench warm!

Got to admit when he was here, I thought he was always wanting to do more 'fancy football' over the basics. But that said, I think he must, surely, have grown up since then, and could do a job.

Not sure he'd do a Cole though and drop down 2 divisions

Because he's predominately a right back, And isn't the big dominating centre back that we need in Reda's absence.

He is/was a good player though.

He'd would bring versatility with the news of Willis injury as he can play right back and centre back. Never really seen him play but he definitely has the size to impose himself at centre half as he's about 6 foot 4 inches tall.

Mowbray has used his contacts at previous clubs so far. Fortune (Celtic and WBA) and Morris/Jackson (Boro).

Plays for Huddersfield Town, so that rules that one out.

And arguably there's a Middlesbrough connection for Armstrong, with McClaren in charge.
