However some part ofthe long term plan is starting to come clear. The Crew Alexander model.
Bring them through on cheap wages, showcase them then sell them to fund the club.
Callam will be gone when the price is right.
However with SISU as owners this maybe the only way forward. Unfortunately it does mean bobbing along at this level for a long time.

That has been obvious for some time & I've previously posted stuff to say so.

....surely the aim of the club (regardless of who the owners are) is to be sustainable in the long term?

The problem is their explanation for how their stadium plan May be viable is based in promotion.
This plan will be the club trying to stay afloat by playing kids and selling them. ( not saying that is wrong or right)
What I am saying is that does not lead to promotion and so the unviable stadium plan becomes even more unviable for me.

We have no money. Did I say we have no money. Yeah we have no money. This article smacks of 'We have no money'. So therefore we HAVE to develop youth players. We should anyway but it's a case of having to.

I would be more than happy to get to a point where AT LEAST 50% of squad players are coming through from our youth set-up and also that AT LEAST 50% of the youth set-up players are good enough to make it in to the squad.

However at this current time, these players coming through are not quite ready for this level I don't think, and this will be leaving us vulnerable because we don't have any choice.
