Bristol fans want him in their first team! Seems like a great signing!!! Surely 1 CM must be going out

What sort of midfield player is he, i.e defensive/attacking?

They can recall him in January according to the bristol city website, not sure why ours doesn't say that.

For people questioning the signing, surely if you can get better than you've already got that's what you do. Not saying he is tbf. No idea.

Not sure what you're on about, central midfielders are generally not known for being big lads. What we need from him is a better engine than Shipley and Westbrooke and the ability to put the odd tackle in

For balance can we take the piss out of his appearance so that the board's Bill Oddie doesn't get too upset

Hope this doesn’t mean Allen is out for even longer than expected.

It might just mean Allen won't need to be rushed back before he is 100% fit.
We're looking at a great midfield.

Allows Jordan Shipley to move to left if Kastaneer unfit/Hiwula is not on his game. Offers a bit more flexibility and cover. Also we haven't had a Liam in the first team for a while (waits to be corrected!!)

On another note that Anthony Evans looks a right player for Everton I’m sure we were linked with him he looks class mental pace & ball control probably what we wanted from
Jobello.

Just cheaked Evans is at Blackpool lol him & Scannel to deal with Saturday then

I don’t want to knock him because he’s definitely improving but I could do without ever having to watch Shipley play wide again. In a 4-3-3 it would be painful

central midefielders - Kelly, Shipley, Westbrooke, Allen, O'Hare, Walsh, plus Eccles
On the assumption that this guy is too good to be back up - Watson is clearly here to cover Dabo and not much else - it implies Robins believes Westbrooke and Shipley are deemed not quite good enough and Allen is at risk of missing more than they are are letting on. Midfield looks like Walsh Kelly and O'Hare
Much as I like loans, not sure 2/3 in one area of the team as loans may not be so good
Wonder how the player budget is looking?

Surprise by yet another signing. But it's good to see.

Allows us much more strength in depth and the squad is perfectly balanced to me.

Plenty of quality now, and it's going be an exciting year
