And he knew we only had Thomas and himself as centre halvesWhat a strange thing to say. Maybe the truly modern man ( whatever that means) has to be there 27/7 when his wife is expecting.
But to most of us bought up in the real world, playing a professional football match for which you are being paid thousands of pounds, you would automatically break off your husbandly duties and return later.
It called working for a living, not all of us had time off to have babies
Didn’t we score our 4th and 5th on Saturday with long diagonals over the left back.To be clear, I think we need better at CB. But in just the two league games Dasilva has switched off, had players cut inside him at will, along with the old chestnut of teams playing the ball over his head.
Doesn’t make the task any easier
Well before social media there was always a player that was always shit according to many supporters, no matter how they played, and some could do no wrong. There is a psychology description for it, but can't remember what it is called. Something to do with reinforced collective bias.If you think Jay Dasilva is at the route of every goal we concede I’ve no idea what to say.
I saw people defending Bobby Thomas’s “clearance” for the third with “it’s all MvEs fault for putting the ball out for a throw in”
No. It’s not our wingbacks fault our CBs can’t defend their box. Sorry. Frankly Dasilva has had a better start to the season than either of them but that’s irrelevant on here since he reached meme status.
Poor clearance for the pen cross but more Bobby than himWell before social media there was always a player that was always shit according to many supporters, no matter how they played, and some could do no wrong. Mick Kearns played in the side promoted to the top division going 25 games unbeaten but was shit.
Breen and Konjic could do no wrong but they weren't all that. I still see supporters praising them to high heaven on here.
JDS had the second most successful forward passes against Derby. At no point against Derby or Hull did he do something really bad that led to a goal.
All backs get a running some time. The last quarter of the 24/25 season and the start of this season, JDS has been class.
Bidders was coming back from bad injury last season so it remains to be seen if he has slowed up. It is unfair to judge him until he has a run of games when fully recovered. See also Sheaf.
As for Bobby and Kitch, they have great games and some less good. However, all our defence were good enough to get us to the playoffs last season and most neutrals thought we were better than Sunderland over the two games. Add in being robbed of a cup final place.
It is easy to cherry pick when a player is poor but over a season the final outcome will determine a players worth.
Mick Kearns is the uncle of one of my oldest and dearest friends of well over 50 years and that hurt is still with him let me tell you.Well before social media there was always a player that was always shit according to many supporters, no matter how they played, and some could do no wrong. There has been a marked improvement with both Thomas and Kitching and there's more needed.I reckon he reminds lampard of John Terry and thats why he likes him so much
Unsung hero and good player along with Brian Hill.Mick Kearns is the uncle of one of my oldest and dearest friends of well over 50 years and that hurt is still with him let me tell you.
David Smith used to get abuse.Well before social media there was always a player that was always shit according to many supporters, no matter how they played, and some could do no wrong. Wow, 7-1 biggest ever win at the CBS, and still people want to pin point a player having a poor game. Id also point out it was 7-0 when Dasilva went off.Didn’t we score our 4th and 5th on Saturday with long diagonals over the left back.
Most teams look to play balls over the fullbacks head to get in behind.
Wouldnt matter if the fullback was 6ft tall, still easy to play it over his head from distance, especially if he has pushed up.
We get away with it a lot the other side because of MVEs pace to recover.
Dasilver seems to take the blame for every lapse in the defence.
I will add I like him as a player, but think he had a poor game Saturday by the standards he set last season.
He's Mr Reliable, what we paid is looking a drop in the oceanWhen does this man get his own decent song? Seems to be the one player that is a solid 7 every week but gets little recognition from our fans.

What? He was our best defender. Made quite a few key tackles and blocks. He wasn't great today.

Don't remember those. He cleared what would have been a certain goal and blocked a shot right in front of Rushworth.Thought he had a great game.He made 3 bad errors 1st half.
All lead to decent attacks by Watford.

Like the old song replacing eyes of blue, unless he has blue eyes of course.
Six foot two, wears sky blue, Liam Kicthing's after you. Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da
I mean, I don't think the head on Bobby Thomas is unusually large, but that doesn't stop up singing about it being massive.Like the old song replacing eyes of blue, unless he has blue eyes of course.

find a better last line and this is gold! a chant using the Flintstones theme would be a bigger achievement than our league position.
