As mentioned on another thread. Fair play
Lampard on Kitching playing today while his partner is in labour: “Kitch said, ‘no, no, I’ll be there, so he turned up and he played, as he generally does. And now, as I say, fingers crossed that all goes well later on. He’s a throwback to a player that’s an absolute family man and that wants to play for his club. Very special!”
Spot on, never could work that out, had binks and Lati ahead of himOne of the things that ended Robins tenure was his refusal to play Kitching. The time he made him a LWB for the day was laughable.

He looks very lean and so much fitter.Because he had a spell of indiscipline on the pitch getting needless cards. Trying to be the hard man and getting involved when there was no need to. He needed time out and the cold shoulder to make him grow up.
I fairness to him I think he has and looks a better player for it.
I just think he seems more disciplined without losing his combative spirit. He looks very lean and so much fitter.
So did hamer, but he kept playing,Because he had a spell of indiscipline on the pitch getting needless cards. Trying to be the hard man and getting involved when there was no need to. He needed time out and the cold shoulder to make him grow up.

.....except for the matches he was banned for.So did hamer, but he kept playing,

Funny that certain people were too blinkered to see he’d completely lost the plot by the endOne of the things that ended Robins tenure was his refusal to play Kitching. The time he made him a LWB for the day was laughable.
bit harsh on kitching, the sheff weds red was a joke, he got sent off for a 2nd yellow for a late tackle and professional foul for being last man, TBF I’d expect any centre half in that back four to pick up a few cardsHamer was trying to win the ball. With Kitching it was afters and often when he wasn’t involved in the first place and when we had already got given the free kick. There is a big difference.
The bloke who should have been starting at CB and the bloke who is now one of the best players in the division in any position. Totally crazy work wasn't it.Funny that certain people were too blinkered to see he’d completely lost the plot by the end
Kitching and Rudoni at wing back
Imagine people showing loyalty, even if misguided, to the man who saved our club. What are they like?!Funny that certain people were too blinkered to see he’d completely lost the plot by the end

That Kitching pass to MVE for the 4th goal is almost worth £4.5m itself...a sublime passGiven the fees being talked about for Bobby and others, could £4.5m for Kitching actually turn out to be good business?! I'm starting to think so.

hold on, i'll watch the highlights againGrimes wasn't it?
I have never seen a player react like the Sheffield Wednesday player. Kitching never protested and just walked. Post match Robins came out and defended Kitching. By Monday morning Coventry and Kitching were accepting their fate. More to that than than met the eye. Let’s face it the ref was closer than you or me.bit harsh on kitching, the sheff weds red was a joke, he got sent off for a 2nd yellow for a late tackle and professional foul for being last man,
Weren’t we strapped with injuries. What were the alternatives.Funny that certain people were too blinkered to see he’d completely lost the plot by the end

Shirt number No 15 - Liam KitchingGrimes wasn't it?

That's a fair assumption lolYou're correct, it was so good I just assumed it was Grimes.
or maybe credit to the scouting team ?Credit to robins for identifying Kitching and pursuing him
He was a robins targetor maybe credit to the scouting team ?
Dasilva was on the bench both timesWeren’t we strapped with injuries. What were the alternatives.

But there were lots of little moments when he just got involved in needless stuff and a lot he got away with. It was like he wanted to be the hard man centre half without knowing how to be the hard man centre half.
But the main point is since he has got back in the team he seems more mature. Without losing any edge.
Think robins was trying to put the Barnsley back four together, seemed a good idea then we got Collins,He was a robins target
