Because the Premier League are trying to distance themselves as far as possible from 99% of football that's played in the country and the Football League & FA are completely incompetent and don't really care who is in charge of the team's playing in their own competitions.

Yes , that's pretty much what I was alluding to. Still, as long as a few people are making few quid

The baffling thing is some aren't and are still making a complete dogs dinner of it all. There's even cause to say that some owners are not only losing money but actively trying to make sure it continues!

I remember when Leyton Orient were in the first division (1962-63).
Founded in 1881. Second oldest London club, after Fulham.
