Just speculation or have we really 'registered an interest'? ...

Started as a FLW exclusive. Apparently the site (Football League World) is partly run by someone here but I don’t think it’s ever been correct.

Fair point, it does tend to be scraps... just interested to see if anyone on here who claims tohave good access has anything concrete. Not sure if CM is priority but would be a good addition if it happened to create a really solid middle next to Grimes. Also backup for Grimes too, so I guess that could be priority.

Feels more like his agent generating rumours in an attempt to get bigger bucks for him from Derby, where I suspect he will end up.

Imagine a middle 3 of Sheaf Grimes and Travis. 3 captains

and what system would that be? to many midfielders for a 3-4-2-1, a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3

What a battle it would be for Grimes, Sheaf, and Travis for minutes.

Never been particularly enamoured / impressed with this player, but only seen him a few times. Am I just in the minority here?

Not for me

Grimes and Sheaf are much of a muchness

Adding Travis to that and we've basically got 3 sitting midfielders

4 if you include Eccles

If we strengthen midfield it needs to be in the Torp mould

Not a massive fan of this rumour. Good thing as it seems like agent talk.

Need a couple of new midfielders that follow hamer, torp and rudoni's 'style'.

I’d prefer a more dynamic 8 …..

He was signed on loan by Ipswich in their promotion season and at the time they had Morsy and Luongo. I think its because we have so many similar players. If we sold Sheaf this would be a good signing in my opinion

If we were reshaping the midfield unit and both Sheaf and Eccles were moving on then I’d be in favour. Realistically though I doubt we’re being that drastic. Although theoretically c£8-10m combined for Sheaf/Eccles to spend maybe £2-3m on Travis would be interesting.

Never been a fan when watching Blackburn , strikes me as a dirty clogger who masks his limited ability with being a nasty prick, in the Onien mould. Not one I’d get excited about.

I would feel slightly different about it in the case of a “Sheaf replacement”, but he’s always struck me as being a far more limited player than Sheaf? I don’t think he played that much for Ipswich during that season - Ive only ever seen him play for Blackburn!

The point being Ipswich signed him in a promotion season. Clearly they rated his ability. If Lampard views Torp as more of an attacking midfielder then this could also work

9 games. 20 for Blackburn before his loan move.
