So far we've added 3 decent players and lost nobody from a squad that started poorly and finished 5th. I'm not saying we're done or that we won't sell anyone, but our window so far is as good as anyone's.Stoke looked great today. MR must be thrilled and laughing. They've had a great transfer window as well.
It's one game , Stoke beat us in the opening day of the season last season and look at the season they had. Far too early to to come to a conclusion yet.Stoke looked great today. MR must be thrilled and laughing. They've had a great transfer window as well.
We are 1 game into the season, the transfer window isn't done and hes got players injured.
Yes it is annoying how he seems a little stubborn with his formation and the way he wants to play, but I'll be more concerned by the end of the window if he's done nothing to rectify it.
I want to see him with forwards he's signed. Let's be honest I doubt he'd spend £10 million on Simms, BTA and Bassette given the choice. Recycle what money you can from those and let him bring his own people in.
Eccles will play a big part if not sold.Wright is the only injury that would be in the side and he played a third of the match. We had our only real period of success when we were forced into a complete tactical change and outside of that have looked ponderous and disjointed in attack with no ideas beyond work it wide and whack an aimless cross in to one striker.
Wind up bollocksStoke looked great today. MR must be thrilled and laughing. They've had a great transfer window as well.
Christ. No I’m NOT calling for his replacement already but…questions need to be asked.
The quite ridiculous sticking to a rigid tactical formation (without changing to another) that clearly wasn’t doing anything against a Hull side clearly there for the taking.
Lack of a pressing system that FL said that he himself would like to adopt. High press and attacking football I think he said-which we have only seen fleetingly.
Leaving a striker on the bench and bringing on a left back as a winger when we clearly need a goal. In fact bringing on a clearly unfit striker in a central role we all know he clearly can’t do and bringing off the one player who looked like he could create something was baffling.
Not advocating anything rash but FL has the whole of the summer to address the tactical side and thinking of alternatives if one system doesn’t work.
Same old ponderous slow build up bollocks-is it the players or the system?
Playing Hull was a perfect opportunity to be a bit more risky and try something different.
I’ve not mentioned recruitment deliberately as that out of FL’s hands. But we clearly need some pace and creativity in this team.
Positives-we didn’t look like conceding and the goalie was bloody brilliant.
Just trying to stimulate some discussion NOT calling for Franks replacement or wetting the bed!

I've said it many times that Frank can be too stubborn/rigid in his formation and pattern of play .
Robins had an ability to change formation and systems according to players available . Many times we saw the team sheet and wondered what system we would play but we would find a way to surprise one of the top sides .
Could we have gone 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 as the game progressed today ?
Who knows but the very best managers adapt and take risks
Not all waffle Adam, read again and then judgeYou literally wet the bed with 8 paragraphs of waffle and finished with ‘not wetting the bed’

I hear Nick Leeson is available on loanI don’t think our personnel leaves FL many options in terms of formation tbf. I think we’ll see a lot of games like today where we have control and possession whilst being a bit toothless.
I just wish we had a player that could take someone on in the middle of the park and go past them. Our only threat is from width, crossing in for a Rudoni late run into the box. That’s almost the only way I see us scoring.
All our midfielders are possession players. I’d love to have a risk taker.
Well they had a cutting edge when it mattered most. Baker is always a threat going forward and scored a good goal. Think they had 2 debutants who scored today as well. Anyway, we need to be more direct and mix it up, aside from only slinging crosses. They were awful for 80 mins you clown
Despite the attempted justification it very much sounds like you are wetting the bedNo I’m NOT calling for his replacement already but…questions need to be asked.
