The F***wit has been quiet for a while, but the master of bullshit is back with yet another illiterate rant

Feel free to be constructive and pick it apart and point out the things that are wrong.

(it looks like a long one, I'll read it later)

Ha ha, I can't bring myself to read beyond the 2nd para. That alone has so many sweeping, uncorroborated statements to occupy this thread for days on end. T then goes on to Dubya Bush and Trump esque. And then fundamentalists, his latest insult to anyone with the ability to reason. Buffoon. Laughable.

So you haven't read it all either then?

Feel free to post up the bits you think are wrong and correct them so when I read it I can translate it for tim07's truth.

I congratulate Les Reid for the best 'opinion' piece on what is a complex issue and yes he's right many to blame including previous owners & coucils, not just the current ones.

So you haven't then? Funnily enough.

Why not discuss what is wrong in there for people to see? Post bits up and correct them.

Funny how you didn't seem to get past the paragraph about Telegraph Editors.

I have read it. Found it patronising and divisive (I think that is his writing style). He does however make some good points on who is lined up to buy, and do they want to sell. What he misses is the fact that a significant number of fan have had enough - and not all of us are influenced by the CT. Or indeed any other media outlet

Bits like this:

Shouldn’t the city’s politicians, CCFC fans’ groups and media be fighting for a fairer deal for the football club? Perhaps a fair deal in return for Sisu dropping ongoing legal action against the council which Wasps appear to fear (they’ve strangely cited it as the reason for calling off talks with the football club)?

Actually seem quite balanced and make sense to be honest.

Can't really argue with this bit:

The renewed campaign has assembled a rickety old bandwagon carrying false hope, based on lies, distortion, misconceptions, fears and scaremongering.

Interesting about the good guys vs bad guys.

It is actually quite tame compared to what I was expecting.

Things like this also get missed.

The paper’s “biggest stakeholders are the council,” stated the ex-editor, explaining his decisions backed by the current editor, all recorded in written documents.

'Wasps appear to fear'
You can't find anything wrong with this?
I will never attend a Wasps game, but I'm interested to hear what they have to fear?
In what way do they 'appear' to fear SISU's hopelessly doomed action against the City Council.
Er.....'cailing off' talks? This suggests a final decision to end talks has been taken.
As usual, all innuendo, wind and piss.
The guy is a Grade A nobhead

To be honest Nick, that particular line could be leveled at both sides, given Fisher and co's track record.

Both camps are as bad as each other. Would love to see an independent journalist look at both sides of the argument...Reid and Gilbert seem to have their own agendas.

Nick. I didn't choose those two lines... YOU did.
If I edited all the bullshit out of his article there wouldn't be a single line left.
There is so much unreferenced and uncorroborated wind and piss in it I wouldn't know where to even start.
I am really not going to waste my time, will leave it to others

Yep, I try to just read into the things that tend to be backed up with facts, quotes from people etc.

Also I always keep an eye on bits that could potentially be edited to see about them, ie the bit about the council being the telegraphs biggest stakeholder.

I don't see too much scare mongering or false hope in that article in fairness, it basically says as ccfc we are stuck with sisu and are screwed.

I haven't mentioned Wasps once in this thread until you picked out the bits you thought were wrong, which were both about Wasps.

LOL, Reid is hot on opinion and careful to present only the side of the argument he supports and . It is a litany of pejorative statements.

It is the usual crap - with some good points dotted in between. He is pissed off that the Telegraph's bollocks has more support than his own.

He rightly portrays the Trust as a motley crew without a plan... without pushing the point that SISU is a posher crew without a long term plan.

Generally written as a political pamphlet.

Uses the Trump victim tactic = the whole Coventry establishment backs the anti SISU campaign, he stands against that and is with the real fans who wants to make CCFC great again......

I didn't say it was spin, I said it was completely made up.

How many times have I said Fisher is bullshitting? Plenty.

He says many things that are facts, known and discussed on here for ages, but lots of opinions too.

He does seem to throw in the "I know sisu are partly to blame" line (not in those exact words) whilst bashing everyone else but sisu though. Sounds familiar....

I'm sure nick will agree though, this is just the same spin that he accuses CCC and the CT of giving, but it's just different targets.

And, Is it just a co-incidence we had RobS's posts, Timmys statements, now Les's, all in a short space of time.... ? Or has TF got a hand in all of it...
