I was 13 in 1985 when we won the last 3 games to stay up, the Luton and Everton games stay with me now, I was 9 when I watched us beat Watford 5-0 and West Ham 3-2 in the league cup, I was 14 when we started our cup run in 1987. I was at them all.
Lol couldn't help being born then either Lol

are you for real?

the odd game where we beat top teams, rest of the time was awful

wolves away, notts county away, numerous trips to Wembley outweighed beating Utd 3-2 etc.. because they meant nothing in grand scheme of things

the wins at Wembley, the wins at wolves and notts county meant something

If it is, my first game was a 3-3 home draw against Wimbledon and Vinnie Jones played for Wimbledon so I personally think I win.

Wouldn’t be advocating a low carb diet (or any kind of fad diet). Appreciate everyone is different. I assume you more mean processed carbs like pasta / bread etc. Trying to limit processed food is the big one. If you’re going to eat pasta and bread go for wholewheat and do it before big exercise days.

Also, the science between running and walking is entirely dependent on “how” you run. You will likely burn more calories for longer doing a 30 minute hill sprint session than you will pottering about for 2 hours. Appreciate knees, mobility and age are a massive factor here so in that sense walking is also great!

No carb is a fad diet. Low carb isn't imo

Carbs sit on some people's bellies but doesn't for others. Most people will know how they feel after intaking alot of them (bloated, sluggish etc) and should adapt diet accordingly

I’m talking about fans in general

for my generation (I’m 43) we had nothing to shout about for 30 years

then come along 2017 and everything changed for the better (mostly under sisu despite being worse owners of all time)

since then we’ve sold players and reinvested in bang average players but being told this team is top 6 deck

to see the team assembled with the most money spent since prem days and to see inept performances will push fans away

unsure why many can’t grasp this in addition to the highest prices we’ve had to pay to watch us

Playing at Forest Green was hardly what I’d call changing for the better

Anyone else just losing interest?

Last time i felt like this was the L1 relegation side. That was full of shiit players, which we i suppose had to accept

This squad on paper isn't shit. However, they are spineless, wimpy, mentally weak characters. And i don't abide that in our team

We can all take being shit, but seeing 11 men fighting for the shirt that represents us, putting bodies on the line, running until they drop etc gets us behind them

This lot don't. This lot are playing below 100% effort. This lot aren't giving their all. This lot just do not seem to care. As we've seen with them laughing with the opposition after losing or conceding, multiple times may i add

They don't deserve those of you who travel hundreds of miles to support them, put your hard earned cash into them, as well as your time, and i really feel for those of you who get served up this shite all the time

I knew once Norwich got 1 they'd get 2, I even said it to my lad next to me. You just know with this rabble that it would happen

This window HAS to be right. We HAVE to bring in experience, we HAVE to bring in midfield and defensive quality or i fear we will be in deep trouble
It is hard to stay hopeful when it's clear we lack fire in bellies, but it's not the whole team. Lati, Norm, MVE, Bidders, Thomas, Kitchen, BTA, all show a battling spirit, even Saka doesn't get bullied when he's fit. It's the middle of the park that remains the biggest issue. When Sheaf is on it, it shows, when Eccles is up for it, it makes a difference. But for me we need an inspiring CM and AM that take it to other team. Hopefully that's what we see come in asap/

A main problem is portion size with most people eating too many. Low carb on non gym days is the way to go though.

They dont deserve the away support they get and il stand by that. We constantly sell out allocations the length and breadth of the country, and supporters are rewarded with garbage and spineless performances regularly.

Il also stand by wanting Austin and Williams gone. One has pissed our once in a generation chance of cash up the wall, the other has seen keepers regress under him and when made defence coach we've turned into one of the poorest defences in the league in the 10 months he's been in post

Id never tell fans not to go, people can do what they like of course. I'm saying the players don't deserve the amazing fans we have on the road

The fans aren't just there to back the players, they are supporting their club.

so to sum up this Sunday morning

we’ve had someone starting a competition of how many games they attended from the age of 12

that one off wins against Man U and Liverpool etc. were more memorable than trips to Wembley, notts country and wolves away

and we will have 16k fans at the game Saturday

this forum is breathtaking

Of course when you are in the same league as Arsenal etc and beating them it’s more interesting than beating Exeter in a battle to get promoted from a shite league

I can understand the sentiment of the thread but that’s not what a supporter is all about. unfortunately its probably a reflection on a large chunk of the fanbase at the moment who now expect all good and no bad. That’s just not football for most teams

If players can’t be arsed etc then fair enough but they worked their bollocks off yesterday without Wright and Mason Clark and then losing captain. However frustrating/upsetting the end of the game was, the rest of it gave me at least some comfort/hope that the players have got some fight in them

Seen some independent social media posts indicating we’ve been the unluckiest team in the league this season. Not sure if correct but that’s what it feels like

I did in the 80s, 90s 00s and up to 2017 apart from the odd one off season. If your a fan your a fan. I'm pissed off as much as anyone at the moment. Why do you keep mentioning Sisu, there were other owners before them you know, all selling chairman as well.

Yep. I've been going regularly since the 77/78 and then all home and most away since 82/83. Some seasons I've gone to 90% of matches, some just ten or so, but been a STH since the late 80s.

No, people can't help when they were born, I get that, but what we're "going through" at the moment is nothing compared to what we've experienced in the past.

It's at times like this that the club and the players need us to back them and get behind them.*

*Apart from Sheaf as he's rubbish.

Considering that United game was nearly 30 years ago and was a random league game speaks volumes about it being memorable.

beating Exeter will go down as - was a great day at Wembley which would be arguably more based on the occasion and location rather than the game

I was pissed off yesterday and felt my posts about the game / some of the players were a bit of an overreaction and I don’t want to read them back because of it.

But then today, I see other posters absolutely dejected / out of their minds and I feel reasonable again!

I think we all are a bit pissed off and demoralised by this season and that's ok we do seem to have wasted a lot of cash which is a real shame for a team like us.

Main thing to remember is a lot of us would have noshed off a homeless chap to find ourselves in the position we are of a mid table championship side spending millions on players when we were in league 2... We need to re-find some perspective.

And yes dry January is an absolute drag!!
