Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I agree, but when you use terms such as sisu fc and the like, its bound to get peoples backs up

The difficulty we have with ACL's position is that they won't disclose the two conditions they wanted to impose on signing the CVA. It may be protecting their commercial interests, it may be not.

The thing is, their legal position isn't clear.....isn't that the point?

Like when SISU takes my club to Northampton and try to steal a local community asset and the local rag does nothing to oppose it?

I think it's a pretty good bet that the conditions were 1) drop the JR action and 2) agree a new lease.

I can partially understand the lack of comment from them, with the JR going on but I think it's classic lawyer overkill - "don't say nothing, to no one.....".

I am not sure if it passed you by (a lot probably does), but, didn't the 'local rag' start up the 13k signature petition against Coventry playing outside of Coventry?

Furthermore, if it is a 'local rag' then why are you bothered about what it prints?

Yeah although not sure statement wars were any mor helpful either, where information was skewed to give a certain presentation.

Not looking forward to that resumption of statement hostilities any more than the current silence tbh!

And what have they done with the petition and what have they done since they promised "If SISU take the club out of Coventry then they must leave the club?"

I think that Mr Reid does make some poor choices of words which can cause confusion.

I noticed that it would appear that he has signed the "Cov Back To Ricoh" Petition, so he could be described as supporting a view.

Then again so have the these people allegedly, for the following reasons, they have the most "likes".

J Seppela NEW YORK, NY

I fully endorse this petition. It is time that Ann Lucas & Martin Reeves told the Coventry public the truth. Keep up the good work Ms Sinclaire and Les Reid.

Timmy Fisher NORTHAMPTON, UNITED KINGDOM

I agree totally with Les Reid. Cov Council and ACL are totally to blame for this situation. Keep up the good work Les.

Justin D'Arce COVENTRY, UNITED KINGDOM

People of the stature of Les Reid and Nikki Sinclaire are not wrong. ACL / CCC are to blame for this mess and must be held to account. x

I do get the feeling that the above comments are not really the people they pretend to be. The way the petition is set up anyone could pretend to be anyone. I might be wrong. This is what causes a few problems for people. It is an example that of the sort of trolling happening on this subject. The individuals ideas are being twisted and hijacked by others.

The reason some have signed the petition appears to be because they think that Mr Reid and the petition owner is blaming ACL and the Council fully. it might be suggested by Mr Reid that it is their confusion not a sign that he is biased.

Much of the criticism towards Mr Reid is based on misinformation of others, and confusion of the words he has used.

I do question his choice of words, at times. The danger is that the press likes to claim neutrality, but writing a news story requires an opinion to express. The Neutral story is a boring read, a bullet point list of everything, by editing the list and fleshing out the points Mr Reid adds his own opinion. It is really hard to maintain a neutral approach in this way and I do feel he at times falls short of reaching that ideal.

The important thing here is that there needs to be a free press, but there also needs to be freedom to question the opinions of the press.

How many times?? The local community asset is a football stadium without a club, what an amazing asset for the city to have.

1. What can you do with a petition apart from let interested parties use it as a mechanism to highlight the issue?

2. How can the local paper force the club's owners to leave?

It would be nice to think that both sides might be a little more constructive in their choice of words in future.

Mind you, peace in the Middle East would be nice too.....

I'm guessing he's talking about you. You are talking bile. And before you go off on one. To quote a great scholar. That's my opinion and I'm sticking by it etc yawn etc.

It's no different taking your ball home if you lose at Wembley singles.

I agree on CCFC, but I don't feel as if am part of it at the moment. I've lost my sense of belonging since they just moved out regardless of the fans views.

Just wish the JR would be over so ACL can tell us really what's going on with offers etc.

From the recent statements from both CCC & ACL it does appear that ACL can get by without CCFC. Even if ultimately it meant changing the direction of the business and its not the preferred route.

I think a more relevant questions is How can CCFC survive without its loyal fans? 1500 at Sixfields, Car boots, Jumble sales, JS charitable donations? Really?

This is my last post on here until SISU have gone because all this constant uncertainty and aggro is getting to me too much - I find myself waking up in a sweat and dashing to the computer in the vain hope that these crooks have gone. I have supported the City since 1962 and had hoped that Administration or a Buyout would have been resolved with SISU getting out by now. But all we do on forums is go round the same issues time and time again under different topics.

Brave financial decisions

Council has always been brave with other peoples' money.

Particularly when they can use off-balance sheet financial cloaking to hide the numbers from the people whose money they are spending.

Earl Street's pride has to be defended no matter how much they have to spend. Keep paying those taxes.

Jim said:
This is a difficult subject because I personally think that ACL did the right thing in rejecting the CVA. They did not agree with the administration process, which I think most of us will agree was not performed correctly, and therefore were obliged to reject the CVA in their own best interests.

This, however, does not mean I am happy with the points deduction. Of course I am not, but it is was almost inevitable given the situation and how flawed the entire process has been ever since SISU decided to boycott rent payments and stopped acting in good faith towards ACL.

Perhaps a few of you on here find it easier to attack OTHER PEOPLE than the real enemy - SISU ? I agree with you though - it was a mistake to post on here again. Nothing has changed except a few wins gives the pro-SISU mob the "moral high ground" (or so they think). So don't worry mate, I've learnt my lesson - won't be so foolish as to respond to Les's own bile, and this time I've left for good.

Telling people to piss off because you don't agree with their viewpoint or how they express it? Mature.

I'm all for views and debate. It's what this site is for. This is all getting very boring now though. Why are we going round and round in circles with virtually every thread?
