Unfortunately I couldn't be at Deepdale today, missing only my 3rd away game this season. As such, I didn't get the see Leon Clarke on the pitch this week. Couldn't listen on the radio as I was sorting a few things out for my radio show. There have been rumours about what happened before and after the final whistle, but i'd like to know how he played today. Did he put his heart into it as usual or was it a half arsed performance cus of this whole transfer crap? Quite interested in what happened with Leon today so anyone who went to Deepdale, please let me know what happened on the pitch

I support anybody in the shirt but today he was defo out of sorts.
Mind you he wasn't alone.
I would say fleck and Webster were the best if a bad bunch

Didn't have his best game but then many didn't. I agree with the above. Fleck and Webster were best of a bad bunch. I'm still not convinced on c.Thomas and Blair Adams is not the grade at left back even though he tries. Moussa also had a good game take out the goal. Thought he was very good. Baker was crap today.

Clarke wasn't any goof today but he did try and if you pause the moussa goal when it hit the net, look at Leon's reaction. Arms in the air and celebrated. He wants it still while he plays. He won't be with us in a week or so. Certain

He didn't play well but nobody really did, CWR said his work rate and effort seemed the same as usual.

Leon did not have much service today, too many risky passes finding PNE players. He also had 2 PNE centre backs to deal with most of the time. For the first 60 mins PNE closed us down and we could not get many passes going.

Only seen Leon play 3 times before. He was better in the other 3 but it it was an OK performance.
He was held back by Preston defender late on, Definite penalty.

He will be missed big time. Under all the circumstances going on I fully understand why he wants to leave. I personally always honour the contracts that I'm in and consider it bad form to quit and go somewhere else.

Saying that football seems to have its own ettiquite. Good luck Leon , you will always be welcome at Coventry should we ever get back there.
