The only reason to loan him out would be to make sure we don't make it to the play offs .(Stupid I know)but I cant think of any other reason.(Sorry).

The tabloids are used by agents to generate interest in their clients, he is probably hoping to be playing in the Championship next season.

Either the Mirror or The Sun broke the news of Black being replaced by Reid before it was announced.

If all fails with the Ricoh though and we relocate to the jungle, things might change....

It's got to be rubbish this story surely the likes of Tim Fisher and Steve Waggott look at our current squad and think "Leon Clarke, that lad who is scoring all the goals, we must keep him" especially after eluding to the failure of keeping Marlon "The Rapist" King recently..

As the saying goes there is not smoke without fire. Maggot Waggot has already gone on record saying the wage bill will be cut. Just because it would be madness to get rid of cov's currently most prolific scorer, that doesn't mean it is impossible.

SiSU have a horrendous track record of selling the family jewels at the drop of the hat. But even if they did sell him, surely ACL would take that off them!

Agree the story is BS, but you just never know with SiSU!

'maggot waggot' - classy.

If Clarke is looking to move and play in the Championship next season, there won't be a lot we can do to keep him.

You've changed your tune a bit from 'the goals have dried up' when you were pointing out he hadn't scored since November (despite him playing about 2 games in that period due to his loan finishing)

I can't see a championship club coming in for him honestly, if he did move it would be to another league 1 club imo, either way assuming we are still in league 1 next season which is likely then I believe Clarke will still be here.

They do? We saw the likes of Westwood, Clingan and Cranie leave for free because SISU didn't sell them fast enough.

Leon really is carrying an injury, looks like he may miss the Colchester game ! Can anyone on here play up front, because CCFC have a critical lack of strikers !

Why don't you start an excuses campaign for the fookers just to prempt it, while you're at it you better start up with the same rhetoric for Blair Adams !

It is the same for all clubs though. If a player/manager wants to leave, then what can the club do to keep them?
