It's not silly though. We were the only 2 teams from the West Mids in the Prem for the whole time we were in it - that's the same county! It's not as if they were a million miles away. And read my earlier post about what Villa fans said and what they actually did. It's true that a lot of them probably didn't care, but a lot of them did too. In terms of proximity, Villa Park is also closer so I don't feel the Villa rivalry was silly at all.

When I was growing up Leicester wern't talked about which is why to me it's just a rivalry of convenience but I've always seen our rivals as:

Villa
Brum
Wolves
West Brom
Leicester
.....In that order.

From the Villa fans I know their's are:
Brum
Cov
West Brom

And from checking out Leicester forums their's are:
Forest
Derby
Cov

Also I said the "M69 Derby" wsa embarrassing in reference to how our fans treat it for instance the "Interbred" song, a song that makes you sound 8 years old and doesn't even make sense.

For me personally, I can't see us playing the Villa anytime soon (unless we fluke them via a draw) and I went college with loads of Leicester fans and most of them are cunts, so it's "we hate Leicester" for me.

The fact there's 3,000 more in the home end for this fixture says a lot.

It would be a lot more if it were villa, brum, wolves or west brom though I reckon. I know a lot who hate them, compared to very few who hate leicester

We only got 20k & 22k last time we played Wolves & Brum at home, and 19k when we last played West Brom?

Suppose it depends on Location. Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby and Hinckley Sky Blues are more likely to dislike Leicester. Whereas fans on the East side of Coventry may feel different.

Fair enough but compare Leicester away and Birmigham away aswell though, taking 1,500 to a game 20 minutes down the road doesn't seem to be the sign of a big rivalry. And Nuneaton is massively Anti-Villa because there's quite a few of their wanker fans who live there, I'd say the only place that would see Leicester as a big rival would be Hinckley.

We only took around a Thousand fans to Leicester last season (I was there it was embarrasing) so does that make us a poor away supporting Club or are Leicester not our greatest rivals? In Binley there is a big anti Leicester feel amongst a few of my mates :slap:

Well I would Leicester not being our greatest rivals is not even worth talking about. Lots of people don't even view Leicester as a rival and of the one's who do the majority still say they fall way behind Villa & Brum

Leicester fan here, have to say you will be surprised how many Leicester fans hate you...i live near Lutterworth, and all my mates hate you as well its not just Hinckley.

In my late teens used to drink in Rugby...got to know the Cov fans.. always had the banter, also there is a big Leicester fanbase in Rugby which surprised me a bit.

Anyway come Saturday and 6,000 travelling foxes fans,i can only see one result 4-1 to us here's hoping anyway, the thought of losing to your makes me cringe.

Haha it's so true if there was 6 or 6,000 fans there, the noise volume would be no different. I have quite frankly been disgusted with Leiceter's support away at the Ricoh the last couple of years and flicking through their fans forum they think the same thing. Sometimes it can be a bit daunting if you hear a teams sold there 6,000 allocation at the Ricoh for example as you know you have a hell of a battle in B15 to "out sing" them, But at the Ricoh when at Leicester arrive it just doesn't happen they say are fans dress as plastic seats but i think it's more a case of our plastic seats dressing as their fans.

No noise from the Leicester boys........
