In Countesthorpe and all the KP flags and shirts are evident at the minute, they’ll all disappear quickly when we beat the in-bred fuckers

Oh that is a bit close to Lesta proper. Thoughts and prayers.

I don’t see what you mean. Coventry for say business funding is part of the WMCA and has totally separate arrangements to Warwickshire

Reading their forum they really are a weird bunch
They pretend to not care but sing a song about us.
They go on like it's our big day out when we sell out away games more often than not.
They go on about how it's a much bigger game for us but they'll absolutely hate it if we should turn them over in their own back yard.
Basically for me it's a local derby which should have an edge and both sets of supporters should give more than a fuck about it.

There's a weird competition on both sides of trying not to care about it more than the other side.

Which ultimately comes across as actually caring about it

It had its county council abolished but many other services are still arranged on a regional basis

The WMCA has nothing to do with county boundaries. Nuneaton considered joining the WMCA, it doesn’t mean it’s in the West Midlands Country.

There’s a combined authority covering Hampshire and the IOW, but that isn’t a county

Only one I can think of is the police.

Just as many services are arranged on a Coventry & Warwickshire basis

I sincerely hope they are apathetic towards us tbh - Cause if we are more up for it on Saturday we will beat them

I won't hide it, I hate them, never old enough to see us play The Villa so for my generation this is our big grudge game - They are Shitehawks who have cheated and financially doped their way to any success they have ever had - couldn't stand the media love in around them when they were good, couldn't stand the Vardy's and couldn't stand Lineker's smug face when they won the league

It's the game I want to win the most out of any fixture we play

It's such weird behaviour from them.

One or two clinging on to Forest knowing full well Derby will always be their main rivals.

Not really, most don't give a fuck about Derby and vice versa, it's either Forest or Cov

My hatred of Leicester has nothing at all to do with a local rivalry. It's because they're cunts.

Always a massive local derby this.I've been going to games against them from the late 70s home and away. Proper nasty stuff went on in the 70s, 80s and 90s with them, people who say we ain't bothered about each other are obviously the younger generation. Both similar sized clubs from similar sized cities 20 miles apart. I can't wait

Derby and Forest only have eyes for each other.

It's one of the most fierce rivalries in English football, I'd say.

I'd say neither we nor Leicester have a genuine 'rival' in the same sense as Forest and Derby's relationship with each other.

But frankly, who cares?

The Upperton Road one in December 84 before and after. Never seen so many full milk bottles thrown aftter a shop was broke in to. Mental that was and the home game in 84 when the ref took the players off because of running battles on the pitch. Ahh the good old days

I remember that one where the players were taken off and if I recall corectly it was started by an assault on the pitch by a Leicester player on one of ours. TIme has dimmed the memory though. Ppossibly the protagonist played for both teams - Kevin McDonald?

The games against Lesta are the only ones that feel spicier than the others, but it's not particularly 'fierce' as you say.

Nuneaton looked at joining the WMCA under the metro mayor so it’s not directly connected to the West Midlands county

When people put up shit like that you just know we are living rent free in their heads 24/7. I can almost hear the tears slapping on to his phone as he types that out.

We've hardly played them in the last 15 years. You obviously didn't go to many before that.

I’ve been going regularly for about the last 25 years. Since relegation in 2012 we didn’t really have any rivalry to speak of, and I don’t count the online nonsense with Sunderland in that.

Wolves in the 60s and 70s then Leicester 70s, 80s and 90s Villa from early 90s until we got relegated. From 2012 yes hardly any rivals because we didn't play any of them.

And from when I started going regularly (2001), games against Lesta were probably still the spiciest they got but even then, not massively so.
