Bench is shite isn’t it. Nothing on there that is a game changer.

The bench:
1x GK
2x CB
2x LB
3x CM
1x ST

Dean Austin you have crimes to answer for.

No EMC is concerning! We know how light we are on cover on the wings!

The bench is still very light. Not much on there that could come on an change/influence a game if the starting 11 have an off day!

Probably a better option from the bench than Perry though for games like today.

I’d agree, but perhaps in the mind of Lampard it’s more of a case of you’re either good enough or you’re not. Neither Rapha nor Bassette were Lampard’s signings, it shouldn’t be a huge surprise if he doesn’t rate either of them right now.

And just like that, the bench looks poor. Like I’ve said previously, 3-5-2 is coming.

Doesn’t matter who is on the bench if you’re winning!

To be fair I’ve been quite critical of it, but Rapha is a bit of non factor. Even if he was on the bench, don’t think he’d get on.

More likely Woolf comes on to make a back three so we can go two up front

I knew we were light in squad depth but one injury and seeing the bench today has really made it hit home.

But of a shambles really, EMC us known to pick up injuries and we didn't bring anyone in to cover

Hope we try and make the most of pace up front as their defenders will head everything away but are slow as fuck.

The only plausible change i can see (which won't happen) that could change our game if we're not in it would be bring Woolf and Simms on for BTA and Saka and go 5-2-1-2.

I dont see a single individual player that could come on as a like-for-like sub and improve us.

That lack of winger on the bench is criminal. At least Rafa was a different option.

Makes me even more angry looking at it. Real oversight by the club.

He was basically arthritic when he played for us. I’m not sure who the manager was at the time but I remember one game they stuck him out on the wing. It was not a good move.

Imagine, me, and a fair few others on here all summer, have been ridiculed for saying we had a shit transfer window and didn't bring in nearly enough of our "needs."

Now, only 6 games in to the season, it's becoming VERY apparent just how light we are and that we needed more!

Although if there was a like for like sub who would improve us, wouldn’t they be starting?

I think we have options to change shape and approach. It’s not great and wish we had another winger but it is what it is

Yes and so it begins as soon as we get one we start getting others.

we were right to loan Rapha out. where doug needs to answer on is his inability to get someone else in

I would assume Haji moves to the left and Asante plays through the middle…

I do not want Haji out on the left and I certainly don’t want BTA up against Faes through the middle.

I'm sure it's meant to be Brau in that position. I doesn't make sense to keep 3 left backs otherwise. Brau will take a little while to find his feet in a new league etc.

I think Wright will stay through the middle, he's playing well and scoring goals there.
