While it looks like Lesta have been doing this for a long time, if it's happening in conjunction with salaries being paid late then it points to a genuine shortage of funds rather than standard business practice.no idea but their loan was supposed to be paid on relegation and wiped out their parachute payments
King Power took a massive hit with Covid as their biggest earner was the duty free shops in Thailand. They relied heavily on Chi ese tourism which still haven't returned in numbers. They had to rearrange how the company was run and now have to share their profits because of the agreements to keep going. This is why the loans really took off from Macquirie Bank.It shows there are serious cashflow problems. The Australian bank lending all this money must be making a fortune, but it leaves Lesta just getting what are effectively stays of execution.
It also raises the question over whether their owner actually has any more funds of his own to inject.
Talk of Administration this season (Preferred option for the fans as they think they will drop anyway). While it looks like Lesta have been doing this for a long time, if it's happening in conjunction with salaries being paid late then it points to a genuine shortage of funds rather than standard business practice.
Don't see it happening this season, if relegated however...Talk of Administration this season (Preferred option for the fans as they think they will drop anyway).
Relegation could mean worse than administration. They will be stuck with players on up to 80k a week next season that nobody will be willing to take on. They have a training ground that costs more to run than the total amount clubs in League One have to run a whole club. They will have to try and get in free signings if they are allowed to.I knew about the transfer fees, but didn’t realise they’d leveraged all of their parachute payments.
You’d think parachute payments would be protected from that sort of agreement, considering the reason they’re delayed over several seasons is to guarantee income for clubs whilst they are rearranging their club to cope without premier league revenue.
At this point, it looks like administration is more a case of when and not if, relegation would just speed up their demise.

Money has been put into the club since, but with the amount of money they've been losing been more like just to keep them going. They are well and truly fooked.

Burnley got promoted, if Leicester drop to L1 they'd be bankrupt. Their revenue wouldn't cover the day to day running of the club. Massive player contracts, stadium and the huge training ground complexI suspect that Burnley's operating costs were significantly less than Lesta's are at the moment.
Staying in the Championship won't cover their costs. Going to League One would be a disaster.Burnley got promoted, if Leicester drop to L1 they'd be bankrupt. Their revenue wouldn't cover the day to day running of the club. Massive player contracts, stadium and the huge training ground complex
Sorry I missed this as I can't see the shite you come out with and clicked on another reply to you.You have just copied and pasted that of an AI generated article

Burnley weren't mortgaging their parachute payments as well were they?Burnley got promoted, if Leicester drop to L1 they'd be bankrupt. Their revenue wouldn't cover the day to day running of the club. Massive player contracts, stadium and the huge training ground complex
