So we can agree it's pretty crazy to even send the Trust a letter about a link to a report by somebody else...

It does make me curious though, at which point in this whole affair does this board think protagonists would be 'right' in threatening legal action?

Is there a time? What's the boundary?

This is what I sent to the Football League, I await with not much baited breath.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am really trying to keep my emotions in check here but when are you going to help us the Coventry City fans, as per your mantra Real Football, Real Fans!!

The latest underhand development from Sisu/Otium is that they have forced the Sky Blue Trust to remove a link on their website that related to an article in The Guardian newspaper.
They basically stated that if they take action against The Guardian then they may have to do the same to the Sky Blue Trust for the heinous crime of posting a link to an article by a very reputable journalist in a national newspaper!!, and so it would be wiser for them to remove the link which they duly did.

Really, is this the sort of behaviour you concur with by the people who are supposed to be custodians of our club.

The article itself contained reference to the fact that CCFC have been offered the chance to play the rest of the season at the Ricoh Arena for free, and then £100,000 for the next two seasons with associated match day costs.
Even with the associated extra match day costs they would still stand to make around 3 million pound per season more than they would if they remained at Northampton.
They have refused this offer, you sanctioned the move to Northampton because at the time there was apparently no alternative ground for CCFC to fulfil their fixtures. We'll clearly there is now an alternative and it happens to be at our rightful home ground and in the city to which CCFC belong. What are you going to do about this, if nothing, why not??

When are you going to publicly get involved and speak out against this sort of behaviour.

The rhetoric we have had from you so far is that you cannot get involved, and to quote yourselves on this is "We cannot get involved in what is effectively a commercial dispute between the club owners and the city council and Acl".
We'll I am sorry but you very much became involved when YOU sanctioned this unholy mess.

The time for action is now please.

I don't think anything that gets said on here In our desire to try and work out what the hell is going on should be open to a writ ,as In reality we're having the kind of conversation we could have in the Pub or on the Terraces(now there's a laugh).I don't think either that petty childish abuse of people who are really earning It for taking us all for mugs Is out Bounds either .By the way could someone get this trending #TIMOTHYDFISHERTHEGERALDRATNEROFFOOTBALLCLUBS. Anyway back on track the way I see It Is threats of death /Harm are out of bounds ,although again I think they're jocular, you'd have to be deranged to do follow internet bravado through to conclusion. Its a two way street really they spin we disect It ,i say that's fair enough ,If they can Dish it they can take .

Actually after this week it is doomed.
I expected us back by xmas but SISU will never come back after conversations transmitted this week.
I couldn't care a flying fcuk about the FA Cup if it means not playing it in Coventry.
As i've said before I'm finished now with live Sisu Utd games.
May reconsider when we become Coventry City again.

It would appear that RFC seems to think our owners can basically do what they want to our club and ride rough shod over its fans purely because they own the club at the moment. He and others are willing to believe the propaganda that they spout out about trying to do their best for the club, whilst all they really want is to recoup the losses they have incurred due in no small part as a result of their own shocking mis-management of Coventry City.

Yeah, there's a difference between not wanting some things, and thinking they're fair game.

Threats maybe worthy I guess, if anything else just to check if genuine mentalist or 11yo kid.

But me saying Fisher kills cats and makes waistcoats out of them, or PWKH eats 7 cows steeped in Bacardi a day when making decisions for ACL are so ridiculously OTT cliams, they won't gain currency and do reputational damage. Sure they're not nice for the protagonists to read but...

Random ranting, misplaced satire even... just the threat of legal action may be justified on a pure level, but comes across as lacking an understanding of the business they're in. It's all a bit like a hectoring old queen.

There's a difference between calling someone out for a misplaced stab and threatening to ruin them, even more so when the latter is often seen as the recourse of the haves against the have-nots.

Then again, it ain't me having to read my name next to lots of claims from people who think a pseudonym is an excuse and a defence to act like an arse.

Although one man's arse is another man's speaker of truth (or something like that!)

So bowing down to SUESUE and taking everything they do to us like you do yourself makes sure our club will exist or have any sort of future by the time they have finished with us?

It well may exist in some format or other, but I wouldn't Guarantee it, as for a "future" it could well be a case of..."Its a Football club Jim, But Not as we know them.

It is worth considering answering rfc's question. It is fl's justification for sanctioning the move.

My own answer is that my club has been stolen initially by sisu holdings and now specifically otium entertainment.

I am really struggling to support my team and I can only assume rfc understands how hard that is for someone who has supported my home town club since being a boy.

For me the one campaign is Coventry have to play their home games in Coventry to be Coventry city. There is no reason for them to be playing outside of Coventry, even temporarily.

What is there not to get?

Northampton have a football team!!

For rfc and others? What is the thing that would stop your support?

If the answer is nothing then wow! If it's something else, please say.

Two solutions but I can't see either happening.

CCc sell the freehold to the Ricoh
Otium entertainment sell CCfc to another party.

Why can we not cut to the chase?

The letter to FL is about spot on. Well done '87.
As you say, don't hold your breath.
Now is the time to really dig in City fans.
Don't go to the Hartlepool replay. Send another two fingered salute to Sisu.
I can see this developing into a 'I'm Spartacus' scenario when Sisu - come calling with their writs.
How about a 'Sue us Sisu' chant at next away game. Just to drive it home?

What an odd question - Yes, I have a desire to see us back in the top flight again which is where I believe we belong. What I don't understand is the owners plans for my club, which appear to me to be not very friendly towards their customers, also known as fans.

Why have they taken the step of informing the very group that represents our fans that they should remove a link to a factual story written by an award winning journalist? Please don't tell me you condone that, and I'm sure we'd like to hear your views on it.
Why when challenged do the directors of the club find it difficult to explain anything.

Oh and why do we never get to hear from the master of comedy Tim (we'll get 3000 at Sixfields) Fisher anymore? Mr Labovitch just isn't anything like as funny. Although in fairness we haven't heard him try to explain the lawyers letter to the Trust which should be good.

That has to be the ultimate statement of irony from the man who used to kiss the sisu arse every day.

Are you so insecure in all aspects of your life that you have to go with popular opinion rather than form your own views?

When are you giving up supporting the club? Remind me or do we all need to vote on it so you can make a decision?

Ah excellent, another name you've called me to add to the list. Can you explain what was pro ACL in that post? As I've said before I am quite happy for the club to come back to a new stadium, or any stadium in the city or if it really must be, just outside. It doesn't have to be at the Ricoh and that is looking less likely every day.

Irony?

Not bad coming from someone who says he doesn't like what SUESUE are doing to our club, but never says anything against them and always blames anyone else for our clubs problems. And anyone saying something that he has a chance of making out is one sided is jumped upon.

When exactly was I up Sisu's arse?

When they rescued the club in 2005? Or perhaps in 2012 when they were being business like in their vain attempt in balancing the books?
Does not mean I can't change my opinion when they take my club out of Coventry to satisfy their own selfish aims?

You stick with them to oblivion, I would sooner say I'm not happy and move on.
At least I stated my position rather than blindly fight Sisu's corner and slag off any fan or organisation that faces up to them.

You don't even go so what are you about ?

Just for the record, I no longer attend any matches home or away.

When an actual law has been broken. Not as a tactic, not as a threat, when there are legitimate losses that were foreseen and intentional.

I'd go as far as saying it should be pretty cast iron and significant if it's the club suing a fan. It's the absolute worst thing a club can do IMO, and I thought that when McGinnity did it too. The rogue.
