Well i know we have hussey but if he was injured or banned then we would need a player which plays at left back not someone like degan or craineso i thought we could get tommy spurr young and i've ehatched some clips of him playing!

Tommy Spurr is a quality player. He is rated as one of Wednesday's best young players for years. He is very much a first team player. There is no chance that he would sign for us even though it is the league above knowing that he won't be first choice. Hussey has done a good job since he came in and deserves to keep his place. We do need cover for him in case of injury but I don't think that Tommy Spurr will be that player and most likely will be filled by an academy youngster.

Why does thsi forum have a fascination with Fox?

He was decent but he's moved on and so have we. I would be really disappointed if we splashed a chunk of our limited budget on a left beack when we have a perfectly adequete one at our disposal in Hussey. I liked Fox - he stood out in a poor team, but lets not pretend he was Stuart Pearce.

I agree 100% with Rob, why waste transfer budget/wages on Fox when Hussey is developing into a good LB.

** disclaimer btw is I meant the Stuart Pearce for Forest and England because in my limited left back knowledge I actually never thought he was outstanding at City either. Decent but wouldn't have expected him to go onto such greatness based on what he did.

RB of course is a different animal. For years we had the magnificent Bugsy and yet even he was eclipsed in the short time Rolan Nilsson was playing for us imo. For one to make such an impact in a limited space of time he compares right up there with Wise and Keane for me.

Or we could just get a young kid on loan from a big side like Adam smith on loan from spurs. ( played at Bournemouth this season).

To be honest we hav loads of ppl who can play left back, craine, Clarke, keogh and of cause hussy. Be gutted if they spent sum of the budget on the defence wen the attack and midfield need dire wrk, not to mention a new keeper wen westwood goes!

What about ben turner? Or mcpake, we have to many defenders. Personally I don't think we need to buy any defenders, just a goalkeeper and a young skillful winger who can work with jukebox and hopefully marlong if he signs

Our priority has to be a new goalkeeper and a midfielder with pace who can play centrally or on the flank, if we use wingers at some stage. We have people who can play at left back and we have 4 forwards.
