I haven't heard mention of this position for January signing.
Bidwell has been excellent in a back 4 but his contract is up at the end of the season. If he signs a new contract, then great.
Dasilva is not good enough as a left back imo. He has done a decent job coming on further forward, like he did today, having a hand in two goals.
Bringing Burroughs back from loan is a possibility as understudy. Not sure how he would do in a 4 but he does have pace and height.
If Bidwell is not going to extend his stay, then we need a decent replacement. If he does, then we need a young player who can develop and step in, maybe Burroughs or if not, a signing.

I think Bidwell would sign a new contract, can’t imagine he’d have much more appealing options than a team on the fringes of the play offs where he’s settled and has just won his place back. I also think he deserves a new contract too.

Yeh, I got that wrong. Not sure why I was thinking it was up. My panic over. Still think we need to be considering a back up.

Think most of us did, but it isn't!

It's clear that for whatever reason Robins keeps trying to replace him. That in itself is a reason why Bidwell might want to sod off however!

Him and JDS are decent competition for the spot, plus if we end up going back to wingbacks, we have Burroughs to come back next season who can play both sides

I don't think JDS is decent competition in a 4. Particularly, when playing a less defensively astute attacking player on that side (Wright). That area would be targeted by opponents as a real weakness.

Yeah, hopefully he’s happy here though. If Robins is settled on 4 at the back then he might’ve changed his view on Bidwell longer term. Bidwell has certainly done enough to

Don’t see why Dasilva can’t be a serviceable option at LB, where he’s played for most of his career. We have plenty other positions with less depth.

Bidwell 1st choice. Dasilva in reserve. Latibeaudiere for emergencies. I think we’re just about OK but take the point that it’s not the richest seam.

We’re fine at LB, if we were to choose one position that is the most pressing concern it would be that we need a number 8. LB would be one of the last

McCallum has to be a possible signing at the end of the season, when his contract ends at Norwich. I'm quite happy with Bidwell right now though.

We can't let Bidwell go, until I've learned the words to his song properly.
