Neymar and Billy Bremner in the same team - now that's something I'd have paid to see!

Yeah me too. Billy would have beaten seven shades of shit out of Neymar for being such a ponce!

And were good, and were historically very successful, and were the only club in a city of 800,000 people

The premier league needs big teams like Leeds and ideally they replace teams like Burnley or Bournemouth

The Premier Tycoon League welcomes Qatar to the table to compete alongside the UAE, China, Russia and the USA. What a product

Swathes of the Championship is 'tycoon' owned too now, must be enormous amounts wasted on failed promotion campaigns

Burnley and Preston are big clubs, plenty of trophies between them.

Years ago they haven’t won anything for decades. They are both small clubs even smaller than we are.

In what respect? Fans going to games? Worldwide audience? Income? Transfer fees? Wages?

Most of them small support (but Burnley is a small town) worldwide following will be low , transfer fees paid Burnley is pitiful terrible spenders. But most of all don’t win trophies in modern times.

Preston's last major trophy was 1938 and they last won the league in 1890, Burnley have only ever won three trophies and the last of those was 1960.

Burnley were in Europe two years ago... admittedly not through winning anything... but isn’t our greatest achievement (apart from the cup win) getting into Europe...

not to mention their history.
