Well his kicking certainly needs some work. He seemed to be getting better, more consistent, towards the end of his run. He made a stupid mistake which a professional keeper has to rise above. But if Alsop goes back to Bournemouth and we cant bring anyone else in, give the kid another shot

Wasn't there some clause in his contact that he could leave in Jan if he hadn't played a certain number of games?

Can't write him off just yet, even though the Worcester debacle still makes my blood boil. No chance Pressley will get rid in Jan I would have thought. Would be worried if he was number 1 for 2nd half of the season though.

Has the Reece Cook lad gone back to Boro ?

I know they've retained the guy loaned In while Reece cook came back as Cover while Burge was out.

Well everybody changed their mind about Tudgay after one game so who is to say that after one more game he wont turn into Peter Shilton.

Get rid, the two games I've seen him - Worcester and Peterborough he was the worst keeper I've ever seen.

People are judging burge on 2/3 games? That's just stupid... De gea was shit when he first came to United, look what he's doing now? Burge is what 20? And develop later than outfield players. Give that lad a chance before saying he's shit.

Years no but months yes, if we could get him out on loan to a lower league club (I know at the moment that doesn't leave many) for a couple of months on a 24 hour call back it may do him some good rather than sitting on the bench.

Not for me at this stage. Lack of presence in the box is the main thing. If you don't command your box and back four now I don't think you will. We need experience in that position it would be unfair on the lad to put him back in now, you never know in the future though.

He needs to go out to a league two club on loan and play for the rest of this season. We all agree that we need an experienced first choice, although Allsop has done really well lately. So do we really need both Burge and reece-cook as back up, both are a similar age.

De Gea was poor in the premier league at first. Burge was absolutely shit against a league one team and a non league team in the two games I saw him in. No comparison can be made there

In what way was he 'absolutely shit' ?

He shouldn't have reacted the way he did against the fella from Worcester, something I'm sure he will learn from, but cant remember him making any mistakes in the game?

Wait how was he shit against Worcester? He got sent off for a reckless moment that doesn't make him a bad keeper? Up to that point they didn't trouble him. Burge's first league one game in front of a 10,000 crowd? His first time experiencing anything like it? Bore off and give the lad a chance.

That alone cost us the game (granted we were crap before he got sent off). Were you at the Peterborough game he was shambolic

But in terms of ability as a player calling him absolutely shit against Worcester is nonsense. Yes was at the Peterborough game, wasnt the greatest of games from the lad but shambolic is going a bit over the top. He is young and will learn, I'm not going to judge him of one game.

If you were a neutral going into the Peterborough game after 5 minutes you'd assume the regular keeper had been sent off and that there was no keeper on the bench.

He looked like an outfield player forced to go in goal.

Was it exeter where he was really poor too? Kept coming out recklessly and handled outside the box on one of those occasions?

The P'boro free kick - was a shocker and his temperament has to be questioned. Just spoke to Ryan Allsopp's brother, he was still getting stick from Cov fans at Walsall, one thoughrt he was Lee Burge and when he explained that he wasn't the reply was "you're alright now". He is receiving twitter messages asking him to stay from cov fans who were slating him earlier in the season. He will be missed especially if Burge is the replacement.

Allsop has improved as time has gone on, but still will not come for crosses and catch them, stays on his line too often, but everything else he has improved and made two key saves Saturday at critical moments.

Burge is nowhere near ready, needs a loan in league two and review from their.

Should be nowhere near first team - back up at best would loan him out if we could to lowere league tewam if he wants games and have another younger goalie on bench if push comes to shove. Is Allsopp's loan extending does anyone know?

Can't sleep so just done some twitter stalking.. found Allsopps mrs account and she tweeted on new years eve: 20 more days till we're living back by the beach #bliss #Bournemouth #househunting

Could this mean hes back off to Bournemouth? I'd like to keep him until the end of the season. Don't trust Burge and should be nowhere near being our first choice keeper
