Lee Burge the 18 year old goalkeeper has signed a contract to keep him at coventry city till 2014.

Young goalkeeper Lee Burge has become the latest player to sign an extension to his current contract with Coventry City.

The18-year-old was a mainstay of the Academy side last season and has agreed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2014.

He follows in the footsteps of fellow CCFC Academy graduates Gael Bigirimana, Nathan Cameron, Callum Wilson, Shaun Jeffers and Jordan Clarke who all agreed extensions to their deals recently

Must be alright if we have given him a 3year deal, clingan and craine more important though!

Well we released Quirke who looked reasonable last year so Burge surely must be decent if we've kept him on.

Anyone seen him play for the youth team?

Burge is a top keeper, who is on the fringes on the England U19 set up.

I was lucky enough to coach him in the academy before he signed scholarship forms and he's a top lad. Great attitude, desire and ability.

With Oggy taking him under his wing now he will flourish. :claping hands:

Always good news when Academy players sign in my book.

How long has Ireland got left on his contract? I'd imagine he'd be off as we don't need 4 goalies on the books. Is he even fit at the moment?
