The new season is upon my brothers! Can i get a AMEN! With the start f every season, come expectations. I for one am not allowing myself to have any expectations, as they're never fulfilled. But im sure plenty of other fans have their own expectations. So for this week's Cooks Question, i want to know where you think the mighty Sky Blues will finish to 2015/16 League 1 campaign. Are we in for another relegation battle, mid table obscurity, play off chasing or even automatic promotion? What do you guys think? Vote in the poll and leave a reply to the thread saying why you think we will finish in that position. This week, we will have the rearranged interview with Dietmar Bruck. There was a miscommunication regarding the time of the interview, so we'll be talking to Dietmar on Thursday's show instead. Sports Lounge kicks off at 10am on 98.6 Hillz FM, www.hillzfm.co.uk and via the Tune In Radio app. If you cant catch the show live, you can hear the show repeated on Saturday at 8am and the show will be available on demand on my new Soundcloud account (www.soundcloud.com/liam-hall-cook) on Thursday afternoon. Thanks again for your amazing support. Couldn't do it without you

Thing is, 7th is so much better than 12th and I think it may well be 7th where we finish, with our just missing out on the play-offs. I am of course hoping we can make the play-offs.

I would be disappointed however with 12th, so haven't voted.

Top half is progress - its just not very sexy or exciting progress.

Ask Dietmar how he managed to put up with my mate Chris on a Xmas /New Year overseas coach trip a couple of years back. He deserves a medal for that

I've gone top half but it's not really based on anything but blind optimism.

I'd be happy with that and a good performance in cup competitions

I have gone 3rd to 6th. We have better players than a lot of teams in our division. Our problem is that we don't yet have a team. If TM can get the last few players in before or just after the start of the season I feel as though we could do well. It all depends on who he brings in and how quickly they arrive.

Unless we get a goal scorer it's going to be a long season.

More than likely a goalkeeper as well

Gone for 13th-17th, but i'd be really happy with anywhere inside the top half.

Although there is no doubt we have some decent players for this level, the squad is absolutely paper thin. Lose 2-3 key players and we're up diarrhea drive. Hope I'm wrong though.......

Voted champions for a laugh. In reality though I don't know without guessing or being Uri Geller. So my actual answer is 'DUNNO'.

Plus if we do win it I'll edit this post and bump the thread.

8-12th based on the current squad. Just don't think we have enough goals or pace in the squad to mount a series play off challenge at present.

I'm going to stick with 7th unfortunately.

I still think we are thin squad wise and a couple of key injuries could kill us and nip any challenge in the bud.

I went for mid table and was happy with that. However after the first two games, based on who we beat and the manner we did it I think we can go higher. In fact TM I think is the big factor; getting more out of players, shrewd buys/loans and a willingness to adapt style of play (at least he has said he will) I'm going for 6th. I think he will plug a couple of gaps this week and in January, depending on whether we hang on to Armstrong, he will again act wisely.

We should be looking for progress and that would mean a top half finish. Top 12 and it has to be considered a successful season.

If we can't get excited and optimistic after those first couple of games we might as well give up all hope. Our midfield suddenly looks like a mini Arsenal on a good day and they've realised if they play the ball into the gaps someone will get onto it. Those Millwall chances were probably more creative than a dozen games put together from last season. We should be looking at top 6 definitely. Can't see the equivalent of a Wolves or Bristol City emerging (albeit early days). Think only Sheff Utd and Swindon have potential to match us (Sheff Utd because of spending power, and Swindon have a handful of decent players).

Brilliant to see Poll again and also to note how our expectations might now have changed - I've just voted 2nd although I teetered on the edge between that and a play-off position.
If you had asked me back in August based on last season and pre-season friendly results I would have said mid-table/survival.
Just shows you what momentum and a quality manager and staff can achieve!
I've not felt this optimistic since the old days in the 80s - City you are making me feel like a kid again well done!
