This will tighten the pack more though, leaves more chance of top 2 but also more chance of missing playoffs, do we now want Walsall and Burton to be beating teams fighting for a playoff spot??

No I know they have proven is all wrong but I still feel teams like Burton and Walsall could drop like stones if they do go on a bad run. I'm more worried of the likes of Wigan kicking into gear.

Most important for us to just concentrate on picking up wins of course

I can't see anybody in this league going on the type of run we are still experiencing. Burton and Walsall are near enough bullet proof. When you consider they both lost their managers a couple of months into the season and have virtually retained that early season form then you have to accept they are staying put at the top. Maybe, just maybe Gills will dislodge one of them for an auto promotion spot.
We played Wigan at the right time - when they were still a bunch of strangers bumping into one another on the pitch but as predicted they are showing strong at the right time for promotion/play off. I too fear what lurks beneath and reckon we will have an almighty battle (if) we rediscover early season form to hang on to a play off spot for the last third of the campaign.

Yep, worth remembering if we had won our last three we would have been top. It can all change very quickly

Walsall will have a game in hand but I see what you're getting at. I REALLY hope there was some way they would screw up, along with half a dozen other teams and we were able to get auto promotion as I can't see us beating two of the top six teams, twice over three games in the play offs.

Why not? We've already destroyed Gillingham, Wigan and Milwall this season who are the three other teams in the play off positions at the moment.

To be fair Millwall and Wigan are completely different teams now. They've improved and we've gradually declined
