We should all go on a course so we don’t make arses of ourselves

1 - If offside the indirect free kick is taken from where the attacker touches the ball so can be in their own half

2 - If contact continues into the area from a foul that starts outside the area a penalty kick is the correct decision

3 - A player should leave the field of play when substituted by the nearest touch line unless it would endanger them to walk around a hostile crowd or it’s gyokeres and he’s scored two, bossed the game and needs to take a well earned standing ovation

Or maybe they should stop making insignificant changes to the game every 5 minutes as most of appear to do nothing to enhance the game.

Number 2 still wouldn't have given Luton a penalty though

Like I’ve said on numerous occasions previously-all the best referees are in the crowd. I knew it was a correct decision and was quietly laughing while the rest of the block I was in were losing their heads as they don’t know the laws of the game but think they know better than the officials.

Should number 2 read-

If the foul starts outside the box and then the player blatantly flings himself to the ground from the merest touch then the penalty is given.

Or

If a player hangs his foot out like a 3 foot baguette inside the area, a penalty will be given if the ball is flicked over said clown’s shoe and the player in Skyblue shirt dramatically falls over like he’s been shot.

I’ll be honest, I had no idea that the rules had changed re where an offside free kick is take , totally got it wrong yesterday.

It is silly that you cant be offside in your own half but a freekick can be given against you in your own half for offside, should be a free kick no further forward than the half way line.

mate the ref could of given a pen for it and you'd still defend it judging by some of your posts

Well not really, he gets a 2 game ban because a blatant dive wasn’t spotted by any official, when if it had been he’d have just been booked. The referee who missed it gets nothing

The one that does my head in (as illustrated when players take corners) is that often the ball is given as being out of play on the touchline, when the ball is still overhanging the line (i.e. in play) Because, From a visual [pint of view there can be grass between the white line and the ball, the players appeal for it being out. as do the crowd and 90% of the time, the assistant raises his flag to give it. The law though says it is still in play. Always has annoyed me!

Its this. It’s the inconsistency. Luton dived outside the box the week before (and before anyone says anything yes going down like you’ve been shot at a slight touch is diving) and conned the ref and get nothing. We get a dodgy pen and immediately get a player banned for two games.

Of course it feels unfair.

Of course it feels unfair.

Few other people have given our club a favour in the past 10 years, why would they start now. As said before just give the middle finger to all of them and win games regardless.

I have no problem with the ban on Godden.He cheated and was caught out. I have just watched Forest Green v Swindon. Forest Green forward was through on goal, keeper dives at his feet and the forward goes down. On the replay it is clear that the keeper makes no contact initially but the forward sticks out his foot as he is going down to to make it look as though he is tripped. Penalty given and the saved. Consistency is required so this one should at least be looked at as should others in the future.

Ridiculous rule, it should be from where the player is offside.

Is the free kick in your own half from where the player who's offside makes contact with the ball in their own half?

If he was judged to have dived in the game, it's only a yellow card.

2 game ban seems harsh, unless they're going to apply it across the board (not just games on Sky).

Yes-or if he impacts the game or interferes with an opponent who is trying to play the ball.

Where is the lack of consistency? It only happened last week? Lets see what happens from now on in regards to other teams and then your point may be valid
