Is he currently away with Jamaica? If so, bit strange he’s only been on the bench once so far this season? Wonder if he’s had a falling out with Lampard

I don't think Lampard rates him, that's my take, even if fit i can't see him getting a look in now. Needs to be moved on

Heard he's had a few arguments with the gaffer

Lampard has said previously what a good character he is, he's not going anywhere. It's hardly a big surprise that he's not played, given he's been out injured and the form of players in front of him.

I personally am a big fan of him. Seems a nice guy and very professional in his outlook.
He has the versatility we need for the squad. If he is happy being a squad member I think its important we keep him.

Not that surprising to see him still called up. Jamaica is a lot weaker in the back than in attack and he provides cover for a lot of positions.

I.can’t be arsed to look back, but are you the ones predicting he would be gone as we were approaching the summer transfer window. Along with several others who are all still here.

We had 2 keepers on the bench on Saturday... surely Lati is a better option if he's fit?

Lati seems like a great professional and he does read the game well. His issues seem to be he looks like he is running in treacle and the falling over thing he does when tracking back trying to buy a free kick.

I do think he is a good squad player and would keep him around as his versatility will prove useful.

Depends if he wants to play more regularly or not though.

Usually the keeper is the back up traveller and it is not rare to see them fill in on the bench if there is a drop out. I think Eccles dropped out last minute and so probably why there was two keepers

Eccles travelled as a sub and had to be withdrawn at the last minute.

He's quite a bit behind the standard of the other CB's, and quite rightly he's nowhere near the first team picture when everyone is fit. Would be good if he can find another club, bottom end Championship/top end League one is about his standard.

Sorry - I can't imagine any player getting as far as a second argument with Lampard.

yeah, we need him as back up, if he went and one of the cbs gets injured it's bidders up next as he doesn't see perry as ready

We have Woolf before Lati in case a CB gets injured.

yes but if we sell lati and then a cb gets injured then bidders is the back up

hence the words "if he went"

Wondering if we will go back in for Charlie Hughes or not as we were supposed to be linked with buying both.

Maybe that was perhaps around if we sold Bobby Thomas or not. Would have been wild if we signed both looking back.

That is totally false, and if you had an ounce of decency you'd admit it. When you say 'you heard' is that voices in your head?

Lati is one of the people FL were refering to when he said about the unity of the squad, Lati is a calming influence on the team and as a few people alluded to, he is a great back up player in the championship. If, we are fortunate enough to win promotion a lot of the squad will be off, but until that day we need ALL the squad to get us to the promised land.

Unfortunately even if we don’t get promoted, a lot of the squad will still be off and we have another rebuild on our hands.

Jamaica lost 2-0 to Curacao of Gervane Kastaneer fame (and, yes, he's still in the Curacao squad, although don't think he made the match day squad against Jamaica). As it stands, Gervane Kastaneer could be going to the World Cup.

I'd be looking to move him off and bring in a better 4th choice CB, or at least one with more pace. Now we have 2 right backs we don't need his versatility. .

I need to go back and find all the posts desperately for him to be captain.

You are right, there must be a reason, Lati is versatile which makes him ideal for the bench when you have a small squad.

All the thick comments about Lati above ffs ie falling out with FL & moving him on etc
He seems to be a model professional & seems happy to be a bench warmer - do some of you twonks even understand what a squad is?

CB is a funny position because you ideally want 4 in but when you have a working partnership neither should get dropped so the 4th choice gets very little game time.

I think the ideal situation would be to move Lati on and have a younger prospect in that wouldn't want immediate game time but we'd be happy to have developing with the first team and play a few games here and there.

Why the rush to move Lati on? I wouldn't want a developing youngster come in & being untested towards the sharp end of the season - at least Lati's experienced & knows this division

Yeah someone in the profile of Hyam in our L2 season. Obviously a different (and better) skill set.

I think Lati will be moved on in Jan he's not getting ahead of Kitch, Bobby and the wolf, maybe we will go back in for Villads Nielson we were linked with or maybe we go for a young prospect, the 19 Yr old lad from Sheffield Wednesday Ernie Weaver is meant to be highly rated so could we go for him?

I would rather a youngster with potential to be a top player than one we know is bottom half championship at very best which also saving thousands of pounds a week.
