Two roles which are slightly different.

Club Captain which is more off field, someone players respect and trust who represents players on issues with management.

Matchday captain, respected player who can play by example and motivate the various members of the team during a match.

Nah John Stones used to be at Barnsley and Thomas doesn't like him either so it's scissors, paper and then the wanker shake for Stones.
