Wasn't it in the League Cup and we beat them about 4-0 or 4-1?

I reckon we would kill for that result now

Was 4-0 from what i remember, think a pretty dour 0-0 at half-time, debuts for Best and Simpson in the second half and both scored?

Next round was Carlisel away, after that Man United away!

What ever happened to Cairo, seemed to remember he played about 3 games and then disappeared off the face of the earth. Was he transfer listed after a month or something?

Just injured all the time, and left after contract lapsed i think.

Colin Hawkins was okay, don't know what happened to him, NZ International I think(Not that it's saying a lot being an All-White compared to being an All-Black).

Fair enough, we've always seemed to have a habit of signing injury prone players.

Hawkins ,Scouted by Archie Gemmil ,brought to us by Adrian Heath during his tempory spell in charge ,thought Robert Page was excellent for us as Captain ,shame he had the dust up with Doyle ,was on his way out from that point.
