Just thought i would give my view of last nights game.
As the game started in a downpour,We were treated to some slick passing and moving.
Moussa and Baker a threat cutting inside and with their wing play too.
Adams was a constant threat bombing forward and also Christie had a great run through the middle and shot at goal in the second half.
Barton and Thomas were controlling the midfield.
Another great finish by the Mousse and Seabourne and Webster were rarely threatened first half.
Could not see who got the second until i called my dad at halftime !!
Bristol city looked like they did not fancy it to be honest until a few crosses in the second half.
Delfeounso looked isolated at times but held it up well.
It was my first game of the season and i was very impressed with what Pressley is trying to do.
See you all at Notts County on saturday !!!
My Bristol mates thought we were one of the best teams at Ashton gate this season too !!

I thought we were immense in the first 35 minutes and dominated the game but struggled a lot in the 2nd half and invited pressure by sitting deeper and deeper. Delfonsou was very isolated. A better team would have punished us. Marshall looked like a potential L1 Nuddy with some of his mazy runs late on.

So is there some truth to Cotterills assessment that they should have had at least a point? Been on the forums and the home fans that went said not a chance. They said the only reason they had the lions share of the 2nd half was because we were 2-0 and cruising and decided to sit back and see the game out? I tend to find Steve Cotterills assessments a bit bizarre anyway.

No. They had more of the ball in the second half (after not having much of it in the first) but didn't make a clear cut chance. They had a few shots from 30+ yards and a few crosses that went across the face of the goal. Even their goal was a lucky deflection.

The Bristol fans' assessment is right. Cov invited them on a bit second half, might have been a bit of a calculated risk by Pressley because of how poor they are.

Cotteril always does that though, when we beat his Portsmouth side 3-0 away he came out and said they deserved to win.

It may have been a calculated risk by SP but if he had taken the same risk against a better time we wouldn't have won. Our inability to keep any sort of possession would have hurt is in the end if Bristol weren't so poor. We barely got the ball out of our half until marshall came on, and even then it was fleeting.
