There’s 3 major points to take from last night

1) Cody McDonald is not the answer, he does look a threat but he don’t know where the goal is. That’s 3 games now where he seems to be awful at finishing when getting himself in great positions.

2) This neat sideways passing is pointless, nice on the eye but there’s no end product. We must have spent half the first half passing amongst ourselves without actually advancing. When Millwall got the ball they went forward.

3) Thorn is not the answer, its clear from that 2nd half performance the players don’t believe in him. 1st Half was good, 2nd half they went to pieces. Was this down to the team talk? Why did he let the players go out so early? They must have been waiting for a few minutes before the Millwall team came out. Plus he waited too late tom make a sub in the 2nd half. Platt only came on once the 2nd goal went in and by then was too late.

A good day down in London once again spoilt by the football.

I aggree about point 2, the difference in Tempo when they got the ball was unbelievable!! they attacked quickly with it. Although when we kept the ball, it did drive em mad!
Cody is still finding his feet i think, it will come....Juke was the same when he arrived, we have no luck, the ball striking Cody then clearing the bar sumed it up for me. fans sounded good, i was in the South stand lower, opposite our support.

I love AT and i truly feel for the guy, but maybe just maybe i am starting to think another manager may just keep it going for 90 mins. Not sure, to be fair. The players do seem to play differently in the second half though, if they are not listening maybe it is a respect thing.....we do need something to change though, and soon. Frustrating to think at half time i thought we can go on and win this!!

But Juke again didn't do much last, i feel this Partnership has weakened Juke to benefit Cody.

The atmosphere was great as usual, could you hear much from where you was?

I like Thorn myself but i feel he isn't the answer, i wish he was becasue he deserves the chance but he isn't the man for our current situation. Only thing is, who is??

Half time i had a feeling we missed our chance of getting a result and as soon as that whistle blew for the 2nd half you could see the team had lost confidence.

All valid points though at least Cody looked potent. Isn't the problem that they (he and Juke) don't play off each other?
Juke in particular drifts too deep and far too wide.
The pace of our approach play was laborious......our main outlet was Keogh down the right but he can't cross.
Wood on the other wing was ridiculous.....particularly with Christie on the bench?

I agree, Cody does look a threat his finishing is questionable. Same Saturday at Donny, got himself in good positions but couldn't finish. Our approach play was very lacklustre, Millwall were happy for us to play the football (Although the millwall fans were getting frustrated) and then pick us off on the counter.

Wood isn't a left back is he, too many times he was getting done. Keogh probably MOM again. Class act

Yea i could hear, our support deserves more!!
the fans on your Left (East stand Upper) were singing Boring C***S beacuse we were playing the ball around and they couldn't get it. If they kept that up then attacked with pace (which we lack!) we would do okay.

I was behind the goal, as soon as that soft header dropped to hendersons feet i knew it was going in!! bit lucky with deflection, as i said we are getting no luck at all.

Sheffers looked good first half.

It ironic that the majority of the posters on here were keen for thorn to rest Christie and play wood left back, because we needed experience to play away at millwall.

and? Wood had a poor game, Christie needed a rest. one of them. I dont see your point.

And i wouldn't blame Wood for the defeat it was a collect poor effort by the whole team in the second half.

I don't think the team selection was the problem.
