It is quite funny really, that people will still find something to moan about.
Just be happy for a change Sky Blues fan. We got a great result tonight! Couldnt even care less about performance, if we are getting the points, do we really care?! I dont.

It's amazing what organisation and people turning up to training can do to a side... Keep it up City; a good performance and an even better result tonight!

I think we're struggling to release the hand brake. It shows how poor this league is and if we can get ourselves playing well the impossible could be possible. We still need 2 pts per game and we haven't reached that level yet but we haven't played well yet either.

Or in the league where it matters we have won 4/16!

Great win last night but lets have some realism. I don't know why you have just selected 10 games. As its the League 1 table we should be looking at!

When you look at it in the complete picture we are not doing that great.

But we are heading in the right direction.

Because clearly these are the games that Robins has been at the club for.

He had no influence on any of the first eight (winless) league games, apart from a couple of days of training before Carlisle.

Ok fair enough lets ask the league if we can just scrap the first few games off and start from when Mark Robins took over.

He's doing more recent form, which isn't unusual. Since Robins took over we've won 4/9 and lost 3. It's a massive turn in form from the first 7 games

I think that we of course will have to be aware of the whole picture but things are looking better since robbins is here. Basically you need 2 points a game average to be competive and we are not there yet as someone else mentioned but huge improvments. We need to not get carried away and expect us to win every game. yes winning next three matches would be nice but 7 or 6 points would be a good haul. Even 5 would be good. A win a draw and a loss of 4 would not be brillant but we have to be patient. Yes we should beat Hartlepool and Scunny. So come on you sky blues.

Leaves us a bit short in midfield though.

Though applaud the tactic of playing with 9 men from the start as it's always difficult to beat teams with less players.

best part if robins understands we are not in 5th gear,he isnt blinded by results

we dont move the ball well as other teams,no mvoement but MR knows this and is working on it.

One of the things that impressed me the most last night was the way we started the game , sharp out of the blocks, High tempo ,crisp passing ,I did'nt get the impression we won the game with a poor performance as has been intimated in other threads .we must be the leagues leaders for scoring early goals currently ,might be worth a bet in future if they're available .

Don't think anyone said we were poor did they? Just that we were 2nd best.

The great thing about last night was that we looked like we had goals in us all game and kept it pretty tight at the back. That's a good recipe for success.

Ok maybe wrong word ,but I really did'nt think we were second best either ,Just thought we did what MR has said a few times now, that we scored and dropped deep again ,which he's trying to eradicate .We did It twice and of course invited them on .The fact that it had to drop in their lap to score was the only way they were going to beat Murphy last night ,who had an excellent game ,he's gone up a gear for me in the last four or five games ,could'nt believe someone on the phone in who said he did'nt have a save to make.

Edit ; The dropping deep typified by the gestures of DMC trying to get the midfield to close up to the front line.
