This man has got the best out of everyone! He deserves a thread.

Tactically superb. The timing of the substitutions and the little changes in formation.

Can see the whole squad is one.

In awe of the man. Didnt expect this.

Got a giant omelette on mine. He’s proved me so wrong and couldn’t be happier to say that. He’s humble and professional in all his other duties too, which is rare for that era of footballer.

Really pleased for him personally too because he was a bit of a laughing stock on social media etc with all the memes before coming here. Shut them up too.

Who cares if people didnt want him in , i could pull up a million posts from people being wrong .

What matters is its turned out to be a great appointment , building and improving on what was an already excellent squad of players

Fantastic

Deserved vaulting, got me! I stand by it... (kidding..)

Don't worry, I'm reminded of it at the pub all the time. I didn't think Lampard was the man for the job but really, it was about Robins. I've said a few times that it could have been Guardiola or Klopp taking over, I wasn't having it. I had serious headloss after the Robins situation but I've been fully on board for a while now!

Yeah, I didn't want him either and thought it a bad appointment

So happy to be proved wrong and sometimes players and managers are just a good fit.

A player or manager can be a failure at one club, but excel at another.

Robins WAS a great fit for us, but it did all tend to go a little stale at the end.

I'm now fully aboard the All Hail Lampard Bus

Haha I think we’ve all been guilty of having some wild takes, at the time with how long Robins was with us and everything he did it could have gone either way.

Of course come the end of the season we might be in a completely different place to where we are, the cynic in me is still waiting for it to all go wrong.

I’ve got to say though recently I’ve started to really believe we’re the business this season.

In regards to Lampard, at the time there seemed to be a misconception that he would never make it as a manager. Listening to all of his interviews he just come across so well, it’s clear he’s an intelligent man, has learnt from his previous managerial appointments and has brought that experience to us.

It’s been a hell of a ride with him at the helm, breaking records left right & centre. Long may in continue!

Although I have so much respect for FL as a human as well as a manager he has in fact done nothing yet, as I am sure he would agree. If we dropped in form in the New Year and didn't make the play-offs would he still be held in such high asteem? Football is a wierd world, unlike anything else where stars are treated like mini-gods and become millionaires, but then they can be savaged in the press and on the terraces.

I was much the same.

I was never against the appointment of Lampard and when others were saying he was the wrong man for the job I was saying give him time and see how it goes.

BUT - probably because of my attachment to the guy for all that he achieved for us - I felt that we should have given Robins to the end of the season to turn things around. We will never know how things would have gone if we did.

I must confess though that it is looking as if making the change was absolutely the right think to do and Lampard is a great appointment.

We may need to start saving up for another two statues!

Remember saying that there’d be no good appointment or one we’d be satisfied with but I also said this

And you know what, I think this squad looks far more together than any Robins/Viveash squad ever did.

Nothing builds team spirit like winning but Mark also had a habit of playing players he liked out of position rather than play the natural deputy. That kills squad morale.

Lati at CDM, Rudi and Kitch at left back are examples of this ….

If you crossed Robins you were finished ( Kitch, Torp etc ) but they stayed at the club. That again doesn’t help morale.

Bassette crossed Frank and was quickly removed from the match day squads abd then out of the club.

Maybe Robins didn’t fancy or trust him but he certainly was a bit part player under Robins.

Despite my concerns when he was appointed, he has proved to be a great manager for us. The players clearly love him and that is half the battle.
Big shout out to Edwards and the rest of the coaching staff that have also been crucial to our success. Very noticeable that before changes are made, Lampard and Edwards are in deep discussion about what to do. Changes with subs at Middlesborough were a masterstroke. Feel we missed Edwards at Wrexham.

I was on the fence about his appointment, but from watching interviews with him around that time, it was obvious that he was (a) an intelligent guy and (b) not a dickhead. In comparison to some of his “Golden Generation” colleagues who have gone into management, say - mentioning no names.

Aside from his talent, and the fact that he must be an inspiration to a lot of the squad who grew up watching him play, it’s his drive to succeed that impresses me most. He’s obviously loaded and doesn’t need to do this!

Lots of love

As well as being an outstanding manager, he also seems a thoroughly decent guy and a lot more down to earth than I expected.

Surely he has to now win it for November as well, no other team won all their games.
