Brentford are an odd one - They're massive on data driven approaches with a meticulous plan in place. They're most likely to approach someone unknown from the continent.

Yeah I agree but I think if you are looking at it from Lampards POV.

Extremely well run club, good chairman who backs managers and settled squad. No real rivalry to Chelsea for a London side. Some rumours they looked at Lampard in the summer.

Why move to a club that doesn't own their stadium?

The club is a basket case. Their fans are disenfranchised and hate the stadium. Older fans are beginning to walk away because of it.

It's a very tough job.

It’s a big club that’s well established in the Premier League that any of our players or coaches would move to if given the opportunity. I doubt Lampard is the type of person to shy away from a job because it’s “tough”.

I think he'd take his backroom team with him again, but I'd be most concerned at any PL team he takes, that he comes back for Rudi in January!

I have never heard of "footyinsider247" and am going to assume it's just another dime-a-dozen clickbait slop factory that is simply making this up. Lampard is influential enough that if his people really wanted to sound out interest in another potential job, they'd probably go to a more reputable source.

lampard won’t be here in a couple of seasons but he won’t be at West Ham

I just don’t think he’s shown enough on a consistent basis for a PL club to be seriously considering him at present. Love what he’s doing here but he needs to deliver over the course of a full season for those higher up to take note - hopefully that delivery sees us promoted and then it makes any approach slightly less tempting.

While their last game was still 0-0 they were singing lampards name in the away end

It didn't end well for him there as a player so it's not normal for them to do that so fans may want him as a manager now

He doesn't exactly have totally happy memories there given the actions of their fans towards him at times (cheering when he broke his leg). He has previously said that he used to look for their results to see if they lost

Can`t see this myself.

Why would he swap stability and progression for chaos at a club where the fan base is in open revolt against the owners, a team that`s massively un balanced and with players scrapping with the fans ?

He came into a similar situation at Everton and by the end it was close to breaking him.

As it stands West Ham have got to be in the running as relegation candidates and Frank isn`t the type of manager to bring in as a firefighter, that`s someone like Dyche. ( not saying he`s what they need, but that`s the type of manager to stop the rot )

Sean Dyche is the new Sam Allardyce.

You can bet a succession plan is already in place just in case and is updated every so often. I just hope FL sees out his contract, even better if he gets that promotion when I think a new 2 or 3 year deal will be on the table.

No worries, he was my favourite player like many when i was younger so i followed his career. He's done a lot of coaching around before going to israel, he won the double at Maccabi Tel Aviv, and has since moved on the Ferencavaros. He won the league there in his first season, and think he got to the cup final.

It is arguable that the teams hes been at were expected to be there anyway, but to me hes one of the young coaches not necessarily on the merry go round, and has the name and what i feel would be the talent to be a top coach.

Fair enough. Will definitely have to look into him as a manager.

Personally if Lampard left I think I would consider John Mousinho from Pompey, Luke Williams, or Danny Rohl

Should Lampard get us promoted, and keep us up, he will be a wanted man, but we'll be in a equally strong place as Palace, Fulham and Brentford at that point. He'll go back to Chelsea though

He needs to achieve something first and its not going to happen there, would be the end of his career.

Hes a young man still, no rush.
