They won't want Lampard, even if they did he would be wise not to join again now.

He probably still has one more crack at the Chelsea job despite failing twice given his status with the club. Now is not the time to use that chance up when they have a pretty basket case squad and shotgun recruitment policy.

He would obviously go if they wanted him, but I don’t think they will.

I don't think he would go right now.

10 points clear at the top of the championship, he'd be mad to give that up and miss out on having that on his cv to restore his reputation.

If they were to appoint an interim till the end of the season then it might be a different story in the summer...

Doug certainly has his ear to the ground

Crafty jumping in to offer that extension before they make a decision.
Doug for president of the wider World !

According to some press reports Chelsea no 1 choice is Liam Rosenior.

You can never say never but I think it's highly unlikely.

Would do us a potential favour if they took McKenna off Ipswich

Rosenior nailed on for Chelsea and Man U leaving a caretaker in charge for the rest of the season.

Fully expect Frank to do a Vic on the team coach on the way back from losing at Wembley again..

“To do a Vik”

is that to be clear from day one that he wouldn’t be sticking around if we weren’t promoted?

I can’t see him doing a third season if that scenario plays out- even if he hasn’t got an immediate job to go to.
Unlike us who are stuck with the bloody club. Anyway. Let’s not even go there. We will batter Leicester and be back to fist bumps and the long lost Unseen showing BTA back in training etc

I guess what happens with Frank may well depend on the backing he gets in this transfer window. A few decent signings should shake some of the regulars into upping their games again too.
If it’s zilch then he might think there’s not much of a future.

I think so. I'm pretty sure he used to be there.

He’s done the most he reasonably can with what he’s been given. If this season unravels because King wouldn’t back him this month, he won’t be here next season.

If Lampard doesnt get backed he wont be here next season whichever league we end up in.

He has worked absolute wonders with what is a top 6 team at best and deserves that additional help to get us over the line.

The only club who has used less players than us is Sheff W who are a basket case club. Pretty shocking for King to have allowed us to be run down to the bare bones.
