How long is the ban? Is it 3 games as it was a straight red? Or does it differ for management?

It wasn’t ridiculous. It was fair what was ridiculous was the level of time wasting we accepted and accept now. Half the match it a joke.

Can’t defend it. Abs joke to miss half a game and only have six minutes added on. Why hasn’t the rugby approach been taken to time stoppage

Bastard! Was selfishly hoping for 3. I'm in hospitality at Hull away and could've sat next to him

The rugby approach would make it even worse. The clock ticks continuously and the game ends as soon as the ball goes out after the 80mins. You'd have even more time wasted and less time added on.

Told the referee exactly what the viewing world thought of him.
Fair play to the Burnley supporters who stayed away in their thousands in prior protest of the twat.

I thought it was admirable that the Burnley fans observed a 90 minutes silence in memory of the death of decent refereeing.

It wasnt just Lampard that got a card. I think Eccles and another member of the backroom team also got carded after they spoke to the twat after.

can see an FA fine coming for the club when the twat does his report

Not quite true. The referee can stop the clock at any time. So that way anything he perceives as time wasting he can immediately halt the game.

The referee stops the clock quite often in rugby whereas in football the time the game has stopped is just counted as added time. As we all know, the calculations can be arbitrary to say the least.

The ref could stop the clock anytime he wanted, just like he could add on as much time as he wanted. But doesn't. It wouldn't change anything. It's too far gone

Worst game of the season for me. Stupid early kick off, took an hour for the No 3 bus to crawl through fucking Foleshill from town beforehand….. and then we had to play the biggest bunch of diving, fouling , time wasting cheats in the league…who were allowed to do all of it without punishment thanks to a spineless and pathetic ref whose performance needs examining. We didn’t play great either !
PS I would like to thank all the Coventry city landlords and landlady’s who helped me get through some of my Grand National winnings afterwards

Ref can pause time for stoppages though. Meaning for all the time wasting done yesterday we might of got closer to 90 even if no extra time was added

Especially when the ref had been bullied by The Bigger Boys from Burnley for 90+ minutes.

If they wanted to stop time wasting they easily. You could link the refs watch to the timer on the scoreboard which would then show he has stopped his watch or have a separate time keeper but the people in charge don’t want fan interaction.

You can if you want, you can clearly see by the refs body language he's a little gimp.

Sorry if you thought that shoe fit and got offended.

Supposedly yes, but they must have insisted that Collins and Kitching conspire to give them a free hit later in the game

No it wasn't! Watched it loads of times and can see when our player goes to shoot the Burnley player lunges infront to block it and his legs are closer to byline and it came of him to Wright who was behind that players leading leg.

Two players have to be goal side of you to be onside. One is normally the keeper, but if the keeper goes walk about you still need two players goal side of you to be onside.
