Do you reckon Lampard will use his Chelsea connections in January, to get a few loan players from them? they have some cracking young kids. I also think he will be able to attract better players than Mark Robins could just by his name alone.

Think Joe Edward’s will be key to this considering he’ll of coached a few of the young generation at some point or another.

Been banging the drum but would love us to try and get Harvey Vale on a loan to buy.

Nice pies in Bolton, I had one of the best I've ever had at Burnden Park back in the good old days.

I would have taken Santos since it would be a back three. International CB, good age and is technical. Shouldn’t of costed a fortune

We’ve already exhausted most of the team he coached! Collins, Da Silva, Palmer, Clarke-Salter

He's never played for his country Goblin, unless Dover and Dagenham count as abroad?

Think I’ve been lied to by Football manager of all places . Point stands tho, still think he’s a good player who in a back three would have been an asset.

Edwards was 18s coach and Viveash 21s during this period so yeah basically the same players they’ve coached

Undoubtedly Lampard would draw some of the best young talent from Cobham. He’s a legend and yes, players from abroad are more likely to want to sign for Lampard rather than robins. I wonder if the like of Marko would have

Might also help his coaching squad will have more connections and bigger names for footballers to come to since it’s a young side.

Take Shay Given, if your a young goalkeeper the chance to train under a premiership gk would be a big draw.

All the players Lampard has signed as manager, maybe ignore the top of the list but if you look at the loans and free transfers he‘ll def bring some talent with him, if not in January then it’ll be a busy summer, mason mount not getting much game time at Utd, he’ll bring in some much needed experience and some talented kids, looking forward to what team he builds

He's being brought in for his tactical elitness, not his ability to sign players he knows from 5 years ago.

I think we need a few experienced players (particularly defenders) and we're not going to get those as loanees.

which he will be, unfortunately not with the current players, got a sneaky feeling he might want to bring in some better players after his first game Saturday

Pity he’s going to have to wait until January really.

If I were King I’d want to see him get more from what we’ve got before opening the purse strings anyway.

I’m hoping he can get the best from Torp Eccles and Rudoni, and play more attacking to get the best from our front three and then maybe we’ll just score three a game to offset the two we let in.

spot on, king must be fuming, got to the play off final hardly spending anything and looks like we’ve spent millions on average players, hope Lampard gets a decent Budget in the summer without having to sell our best players, your right kings praying Lampard can do something with this squad, I just don’t see it, really hope I’m wrong

I'm pretty sure that Lampard won't sign unless he gets the budget he wants. Getting promoted from this league costs. Doug can't say 'You must win promotion' while also saying 'There's no money to bring players in'. Well he can, but Frank would be stupid to agree.

Haven’t we still got the hamer money, can’t see us spending too much more in the summer unless we sell a couple, the only players of decent value are probably sheaf and wright, then you’ve got the problem of finding the same quality players, something we don’t seem to be able to do

I doubt if you're a young keeper they would even heard of Given.

The Hamer money will be gone, I’m sure. I can see Wright and Sheaf being sold to generate funds.

Sheaf will be sold as he will be entering the last 12 months of his contract . Wright will probably attract interest from other clubs .

Just wondering if JDS and Collins were at Chelsea when Frank was there?

Plus whilst there is talk of Joe Edwards as his assistant, is there any mention of a new defensive coach. Shay Given has been mentioned for GK coach but not much else. I doubt DK will allow Edwards, Morris and Cole to all come in

I have no issue with Sheaf being sold. He's underperforming and overrated. Eccles is twice the player this year.
