So to sum it up, he has said we won't deal with you while certain people are there? No reasons why?

Things don't seem to add up

Why did Steve say things were changing also when asked by TF?

I thought the idea was to meet your detractors head on, and win them over with respectful debate? This seems to be a preposterous stance

No, it's a garden made famous in the Old Testament, but that's not important right now

As for the email and this news story. Hardly a story is it .... we all know ML hates the trust and so what? Changes nothing and I for one don't care one jot.

Best way to do that is join and have your voice heard. Otherwise you are like all the people that complain about the government but don't vote.

Do all members get to vote then or just those who go to that pub on a Monday?

If that's the case shouldn't that be a letter to the Trust, not a letter to individual members behind the back of those mentioned?

How much if this sequence is accurate?

- Labovich offers a forum, where issues such as the accounts can be discussed
- The Trust welcomes the opportunity
- The scope of the forum seemingly changes, to have a retrospective debate on the Ricoh farce, with all parties invited
- The Trust push for an interaction based on the current accounts alone
- The Trust are now all bad people

Not living locally I've never been to a meeting but I've been asked to vote several times. I believe they were also looking at finding a way those who couldn't make the meetings could access them online, webcast or something similar.

I think two forums were mentioned I am not surely ML insisted that Forum with all parties replace the Forum with the Club regarding it's accounts.

Perhaps Labovitch was feeling all left out and unloved, and maybe in danger of being upstaged by Fisher and even Waggot, who both had their very own individual threads. This leaked E-Mail has seen him rightly reclaim his title of SISU's most stupid, insensitive and clueless spokesman, a title he seems determined to hold onto at all costs.

Maybe but I remember ML mentioning the forum regarding the Accounts*, then during an SCG Meeting he mentioned the forum with all parties, then during CWR he mentioned the meeting with all parties again, at which point when he was asked whether it would be more prudent to get the answer on the accounts he stated that they should get answers on the whole mess regarding the Ricoh, we know that Labovitch likes to turn everything back on ACL/CCC but he did mention it whether both forums still stand I am not quite sure but they were both mentioned seperately.

Plenty: he moved to Coventry at Uni. Was in the crowd when we got promoted in 1967, settled in Cov and raised me as a Sky Blue from day 1. Has been a season ticket holder for the last 20 years.

Pretty left wing, though not as much as me in some respects. Likes to stand up for the little guy. Has taken on several causes since leaving the council (by the way, he was ousted as leader so AFAIK holds no special feelings for those in power). Has strong morals and refuses to abuse positions of power (can't go into details I'm afraid as I've not asked him what I can share).

Labovitch however has been with board after board that has been riddled with scandal and worked with Tony Blair to reduce his tax burden.

Sure you've picked the right side here?

I think we're getting a lot of questions from fans about so many aspects. My personal view is, we should hold an open forum, with the board of the club with Steve Waggott to [...] talk about the squad and investment in the squad and Brookfield to answer detailed financial questions on the accounts. [...] We can address all those questions, it's going to be very very boring to go into all this on a radio program.

I've just listened back* to it and what he said was (after bigging up Joy + Sisu and the money put in, slagging off ACL & Sisu, and avoiding answering the important questions put to him**) we should hold an open forum with the board of the club, with both Waggot to talk about the football and the finance guy along as well because it would be boring to go into all that financial stuff about the accounts on a radio show.

*I made a copy.
**Like what happens if we don't get planning permission.

Edit:Beaten to it.

He's worrying in that he 'answers' the question about why the fixed assets have dropped sharply, saying it's "perfectly normal". He never actually answers why and given I believe as a director he has to sign off on the accounts before they're submitted he should know why and be able to explain it when asked.

I think they are simply paranoid about anything CCC and that the 'certain people' is Mr Fletcher.

Anyway - why don't they join the Trust themselves and try to get on the board? It could actually help break down some walls that all sides have been busy putting up the last few years.

CCC, PWKH (it would seem given they've accused MMM of being him) & anyone on the receiving end of communication from their lawyers. I like the idea of the club joining the Trust.

If that is the case then it is simple, they have a meeting with Mr Fletcher and sort their beef if that is what is stopping things.

so what we have is a lot of discussion about how the Trust wont do as they are told by ML/TF etc and all the time the real questions are being lost in the mud and murk stirred up.....:thinking about:

What is important is that they explain how they will fund the team next season, how there will be under FFP enough of a budget to create a competitive squad, how interest paid to ARVO could be almost as much as turnover (we cant bank on playing Arsenal each year), how the company will rely on selling players to survive and that the money generated wont necessarily create a bigger budget, where this fabled new ground is, how the financing of the build will saddle the club with more debt and interest, what extra income will be generated etc etc

but the headlines (not a dig at Simon or CT btw) are all about a spat with the Trust following repeated derogatory comments by a club director....... now why would that be ?:thinking about:

Yes, but that's not how they work, is it?
To be honest I think it will take a serious effort by Ban Ki-moon to bring the parties together.

They wouldn't be trying to distract people from asking difficult questions about the accounts, the new stadium, our future etc. surely, I can't believe they'd do that.

Another good observation by OSB58.

Off topic but just noticed that OSB58 has the moniker "CCFC Finance Director" - appropriate and well learned.

Let's face it - nothing will happen pre-JR ... unless CCC actually invites to a process of selling the shares in ACL to the club. Which probably won't happen.
This spat - and everything else - is just time wasting, off topic and drawing attention to other matters.

It doesn't seem logic to me that sisu have leaked the letter. So it is likely to be either a Trust member or someone from CCC. If we get to know who did it, we'll know why it was done. But as I said - it's off topic as it won't effect the JR.
