I think Kieran Crowley said he would be on a fair wage. Given that he came from the championship I would guess so anyway

How do people actually slag Murphy off .. he was frustrating at times but when he got booed at times last season was embarrassing 12 goals and 20 assists was it? We would have killed for that this season !!

Like many on here you clearly didn't actually watch him play.

Our massive dip in form coincided with him being the worst player on the pitch in around 20 of our last 25 games. He was absolutely dreadful and a massive reason why we missed out on the playoffs. It was like playing with 10 men so often.

Yes when he could turn it on he was unplayable, but that didn't justify him not turning up 9 times out of 10. As a team averaging 3 goals a game, we would have been better off playing someone else.

Also, you've overshot your stats considerably.

I watched Murphy v fleetwoood at home for there first goal and he couldn't be bothered to track back when the winger went past him. He was embarrassed and I seen Cole look at him and you could see what he was thinking. Undone all the early season work by downing tools second half of the season.

Reid is a waste of a team selection and salary, especially considering he is reported to be one of the highest earners at the club.

If we want to compete next year we cannot carry anyone, and based on his form this season, three good games a season would definitely result in that.

It's a shame as pace and trickery scare defenders, it's ironic he's scared to use those skills himself.

Seems CCFC, welll mainly MR has got a situation with Kyle Reid.

Latest reports are he needs to get his head around his immediate future and sort out what he's doing.

He sounds like he don't wanna be here, has a gentlemans agreement with TM, MV or both that he can leave similar to Turnbull.
Currently no takers we know of so we potentially have another season of a player who now really ain't interested in playing yet we're committed to paying him for another year if we cannot fob him off on some poor club.

TM and MV are gone, so that agreements gone too. If we're going to pay him for a year, it would be best to cancel his contract and pay him what he'd be owed.

I see your point but can we not find anyone to take him, obviously it's a free transfer we giving him so it he who should wave any future payments due in the 1 year left on his contract and separate amicably.

Surely his gentlemans agreement he says he has rips up his deal too so it's not like we're forcing the move and he's gonna miss out on his contracted wage so wants paying up.

Robins on Kyel Reid;

“Unless someone comes in for him and he comes to me and says he’d like to speak to them then I’ll make a decision based on the circumstances,”

“But, up until then, he has got to fight for a place and certainly get his head around what he wants to do.”

If he's not prepared to fight for a place then he should do the honourable thing and agree to cancel his contract now.

I thought he was the best player on the pitch at Wembley (or certainly up there alongside Bigi and Thomas). Probably thought that alone would get him a move back to League One. Obviously there is very little interest in him. Fingers crossed someone takes him off our hands as it would be a shame for probably our highest earner to be sulking in the U23s.

It is strange... we had 11 performers on the pitch that day too!

I don't buy the theory of judging a player on a Wembley performance.
No British player in the land should not be putting in less than 100% at Wembley.

It's in the 46 domestic games is where you define a players performance levels.

If he wants out he will get his way and if he doesn't go soon he will hang around picking up a wage until he can walk away for free. And let's face it he will not be the 1st or the last to sit on his arse getting paid for not trying to get 1st team football.

So MR telling him to fight for a place is like a boss telling you to try harder in a job you don't want. In life MR is pissing up a rope expecting him to do this, he just knows he has to say it for the sake of the group.

Reid has now got to get his agent working on finding a similar if not better contract which may take some time in getting. Also any intetested club may have to pay a small fee or at least we are in our rights to ask for one if anyone comes knocking.

Pay a fee? Your stuck with him if you want a fee. I think he's only ever had a fee paid for him when he left West Ham years ago.

You'd not get a 50p token gesture for him now

Doesn't want to be here, says he has an agreement to let him go but nobody wants to sign him. Bet he will still collect his wages.

I can't see a clamour of clubs wanting him at L1 level because he's demonstrated that he isn't really very good. He wasn't deemed good enough for PNE. He got relegated with us after a dreadful season. His stock couldn't really be much lower.

The club have the right to ask a fee while he is under contract. I didn't say they would get anything or ask for anything just stated the situation he is in. Would Robin's let him walk away today free? by the comments he made today I would say he'd drive him there, while telling him what he thought of him and his attitude towards his profession.

Fee or no fee if no equal or better contract is found we are stuck with him that's for sure.

We seem to be lacking in wide players with a bit of something different, if he wasn't here people would be saying sign this player. I would rather watch him play well every few games than some of the forever average players we have.

Maybe clubs have more available videos of Him than just the Checkatrade trophy final.....

He needs to either get himself out there pushing for a place in the squad for the game v Notts County or just terminate his contract and walk!

Are they planning on leaving him at the motorway services?

Could all say they are going to KFC while he goes to the toilet and then just fook off on the coach.

Are you for real? I said this at the time, our fans wouldn't know a decent player if it hit them in the face. How about this.... Murphy's dip in form coincided with the whole team playing poorly. Murphy for half a season was the best player in the division. The whole team dipped, he was a part of this but not the cause.
