Bringing in Kieran Trippier to solve the right-back problem.

I'm hoping the Thomas replacement will be able to at least take a corner

If I remember correctly and I think I do, Westbrooke is quite decent at corners/crossing free kicks. Getting him into the team however is another matter.

Macfadzean doesn’t have Instagram or twitter (that I could find). Seems like a Michael Doyle type.

Looks a great signing on paper. We were crying out for a first team older head all season and he fits the bill. No resale value obviously so we lose that with Willis almost certainly leaving but looks just the ticket for a push at promotion next season.

Ticks a lot of boxes in one go does this signing, a shrewd addition early doors by MR.

Certainly sets the tone for the summer

Very good signing, experienced, good on the ball, should blend into our style of play nicely and add some more leadership to the side. Defence was our strength last season, apart from set pieces, hopefully him and whoever the new keeper is can solve that issue.

I've a good friend who is a Burton season ticket holder, so I text him and asked if he's any good, and got this reply
'Top 6 L1 player, solid, commanding & mobile, but a tad rash in the challenge, we couldn't afford to keep him'

..especially when he's signed up by Real Madrid/ Man City before January.

I think Declan Drysdale would been seen as a "development" player and would feature in the under-23s.

Former favourite convinced pal to sign for beloved Sky Blues
Summary: Carl Baker had a hand in convincing Mcfadzean to join (who he played with at mk dons). Says he likes to bring the ball forward and run into space, similar style to Rio Ferdinand and Harry Maguire. Good for us as we like to play football rather than hoofball.

It’s been a while since the CT were able to get in touch with Carl Baker on a City story. Justified having him on speed dial with this though, he’s like Lee Carsley, no say Michael Doyle, no make it Rio Ferdinand.

Not so sure about this signing - too many syllables in the surname and only one in the first name. I guess "We've got Ky-lie Fazza" might work, though sounds a bit girlie.

Surely we can fashion a song out of the supergrass classic “caught by the faz”

Presumably why Carl Baker also likened him to Harry McGuire!
