My thoughts exactly! It would certainly drop the wage bill wouldn't it?

Woods on what? £6k a week? Surely Madine wouldn't want that much do ya think?

Would not want to loose Wood, this guy maybe the ideal replacement but he has not played at any level like this so big jump

Him being from Malta, surly he would be speaking his native language not English, just a thought.

Hopefully a decent player and not a waste, will obviously wait to offer a judgement after all Malta thought Mifsud could play for Man U

This is from Wiki:

"Maltese (Malti) is the national language of Malta, and a co-official language of the country alongside English."

So its a good guess they can speak English well as its co-official language!

Official language of Malta is English, as well as Maltese. Mifsud spoke it ok when he joined.
Anyways, doubt anyone would be impersonating a defender from Malta in the Maltese leagues!

While I'll only believe it if he's pictured holding a cue or wearing the club waistcoat in the family tradition, it would be quite a long con to create a fake account of a player so low profile and then months later lead people on.

I remember reading something about Middlesbrough fans actually inventing a player and starting a rumour it made national papers as a proper rumour even tho the player never excisted

There was also one a few years ago where a player from crap fictional show Dream Team was linked in the newspapers with Liverpool, that was a belter.

If it is a windup then it is a well planned one as his twitter account was created in Jan 2010

That's true, but some people have a lot of time on their hands. If I had thought of it I'd over do it to a villa forum.

Could be a opposition fan that was maybe burnt on this forum.
