Knocking Phil brown? (1 Viewer)

People knocking Phil brown. He got hull promoted and kept them up for a season. Then with Preston. Yes they got relegated but in league one Preston were 2nd in the league untill all three of their strikers got injured. Mellor Hume and someone else. Not to mention he lost inform midfielder at the time Adam Barton. Just saying. He's not useless really.

In preference. If we could get him would prefer Adkins of course

3 managerial appointments, sacked all 3 times.

One bit of success at Hull and nothing but failure after that. He had success nearly 4 years ago. Nothing since.

Famously bollocked the players on the pitch at half-time. After that debacle the team then went on to win just ONE out of the next NINETEEN games. Backfired!

Listen to what the Preston fans have to say about him. Playing people out of position, the wrong tactics.

Famously sent the youth team up a fell and made them find their own way back down and home again. Totally backfired on him.

And then there's this ...

Boateng talking about him and how everything was wrong.

Amongst others.

Read GMK. Pretty much to a man people are really against Phil Brown coming here.

One spell of success followed by nothing but failure.

Team Nat From To Record G W D L Win %
Bolton Wanderers (caretaker) 22 September 1999 19 October 1999

Preston North End 6 January 2011 14 December 2011

Overall win ratio 30%.

Yeah, let's go for him.

Would be a terrible, terrible appointment. He's a guy that deserves to be knocked.

The man has passion for himself. He is tacticly unaware, a dinosaur a la his mentor Sam Allardyce.

Big Sam is a quality Manager. Done a great job wherever he's gone. Just because he doesn't play tippy tappy football people have it in for him.

Phil Brown rates Sky Blues

A couple of season ago met Phil Brown in Hospitality. He was telling me he thought managing CCFC was a job he would love to have. He spoke with passion and enthusiasm for the club, I think Hoofroyd was manager at the time,

He is dreadful.

There is a reason why he's been applying for every job going and yet is still out of work.

Apparently was even interested in the Limerick FC job. He's whoring himself everywhere and linking himself with every job going and no-one wants him.

I'd rather not have him but I would in preference to the old chesnuts of Black, Wise, McAllister and Ince. Like most fans we are too quick to judge. Who'd have thought that Robins would have such an impact. I remember there were some who thought his appointment was uninspired.
