I appreciate that a lot of this is about the era that each of us grew up in, but whilst the 97/98 kit is a pretty good one, it can hardly be an iconic one for the Sky Blues.

The dark blue stripe works in itself (see previous season's effort), but it's got too much going on for me.

White stripe (again, ok itself) and big crest (doesn't work at all, imo) with the sponsor (a good one), actual crest and manufacturer's logo on top just make it a cluttered mess. Less is often more. Here they've chucked the kitchen sink at it.

97-98 is my era and I loved watching the likes of Huckerby, Whelan and Dublin.

But in all conscience I can't say that kit is better than 75-78.
