I’m starting to think maybe I should try and go. Trains will be a rip off and I have to get home pretty quickly since I’ll be looking after the baby in the morning, but has anyone been to the previous events who can give me an idea of what the schedule is likely to be, roughly?

Also, do they typically have the kits on sale for any of the attendees or is that too much to hope for...?

It’s looking like if I want to get home around 1am I’ll have to leave the event no later than 10pm… does it usually wrap up any earlier/later than that?

Think you might be ok-Robins on stage about 7 so would have thought that would be an hour or so and then the kit for an hour or so. Would have thought it will be wrapped up about 9-9-30?

If that happens at least I’ll be on hand to provide critical feedback! Anyway, I’m booked in. Christ trains are expensive.

I’m away but also didn’t miss it last year when I didn’t go so wasn’t planning on going if they did one this year anyway. I’ll just go to the shop when they’re in there and test the new staff’s capabilities to organise things Can’t be worse off than the last time a shirt went on sale and I went up to collect a ‘pre order’. Mayhem at its finest!

Over 60% of the tickets sold. Good effort considering they only went on sale yesterday.

Whatever the cost, it would be absolutely worth it if the new kit was unveiled by Bright. Imagine the reaction!

Unlikely I know, but after the positive on field start to the season, we can’t rule anything out....

Those Christ train seats are a killer - just a bit wood - and no seatbelt - they nail you to it. Bu they do give you complimentary wine and a cracker which is something.

Its always a good night, I've been to the past events and they are good events. They will start the q&a with Robins about 7. Usually Harry Roberts has a chat with him then it's open to the floor. Its always interesting listening to Robins, as he always provides interesting tidbits. The kits are usually shown around 9 ish, then there is the opportunity to have photographs with the players / Robins etc. There was then the opportunity to purchase the shirt.

Don't know which room they're using, possibly a smaller one as its short notice but if it was the marquee which holds 400 that's £13K to hire, which works out at £32.50 per person if its a sell out.

'Rack/published hire' rates are often misleading though. They're there to show clients who book something - look how much you're saving off our rack rates.

Hotel meeting rooms on Friday nights are typically unused unless it's a wedding venue or it's Xmas party season. There's a chance that the meeting room hire will be free with food and drink charged for, as well as any AV equipment being used.

Ah right...not being local I wasn't aware. I'd still be surprised if we were paying a sizeable room hire fee though.

Just got this in an email:

The evening’s itinerary –
6.00pm - Access to the marquee for your unreserved seating
7.00pm - Welcome from Harry Roberts
7.05pm - Introduction and Interview with Mark Robins
7.30pm - Fans questions to Mark Robins
8.20pm - Comfort break
8.45pm - Unveiling of the 2019/20 Home, Away & GK Kits
10.00pm - Carriages

(Timings are subject to change)

Car parking – Chargeable parking on departure
Dress Code – Smart Casual

Hopefully shorts are considered smart casual given the warm weather!

Gutted I cannot make this. Away in London with the good lady.
On the Q&A can someone ask if they are aware of the go fund me campaign and ask them to donate, they could take it to £15k and then we can say a great well done for this year on it. Thank Conor and Max for already donating

Should have had a Virgin train instead of going for those religious ones

Great! So people who have paid to see new kit can’t even fuckin pre-order on the night!

Why not? Shouldn’t be too hard to organise.

Just not going that little bit extra for supporters -when they really should be.

Looks like I'm not going now, so I'll post the shirt to you Kap - you should stay over instead though as you'll get a first glimpse of all the new players at Leamington tomorrow.

I'm going to guess because they don't have the kit to sell on the night and the shop will be run by Hummel not the club.

Better to leave it all with Hummel so you don't get people moaning they handed over cash to the club and never got their kit.

I'm taking the family tonight. It was never really about getting the kit there and then. It'll be nice to see it, but it's more about hearing from Robins and the kids getting the chance to meet the players. They bounced into school this morning.
