King Sending Off (2 Viewers)

I just saw King give him a back hander across the back of the guys head but out of retaliation to physical stuff being dished out to him by the centre half. Can't complain if I'm honest

Oh. Was it a tap or a proper aggressive slap?

They were trying to break his legs clearly all came and the referee didn't have much control over the game at all.

Boothroyd on King dismissal.

Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has said that Marlon King would probably get a four or five game ban if the Sky Blues were to appeal his 59th minute dismissal for violent conduct in the 4-1 defeat to Bristol City yesterday.

Speaking to the News Of The World, The City boss said about King's sending off: "I've seen the video and it looks like retaliation.

"Will we appeal? By the letter of the law, its the right call.

"Also this is Marlon King we are talking about. He'd probably end up with a four or five game ban because he's often got what he doesn't deserve."

If the refs actually starting booking players for the way they pull and tug our strikers every home game then we wouldn't be in this position. It isn't just about Marlon King getting a bad treatment because of who he is because Juke comes off the pitch with his shirt twice the size with the amount they pull him around. To be honest Im not surprised that King reacted to another player because they purposely snap at his heels all game.

I have to agree even though it doesn't excuse King for lashing out.

Our players have been getting pulled all over, elbowed in the head and kicked to bits. We seem to have a team of pussies without Carsley and Turner :(

A friend I was with said at half time that King was going to end up lashing out at someone, and look what happened!

King has been in the game long enough to know you cant raise your arms, no matter what the height.

And your forgetting it was the Lino who saw it, not the ref, but no matter who it was, it was deserved.

Now we have 4/5 games without our "star striker".

I personally think our down hill started when he signed, then more so when he got into the team regularly, so im not sure we'll miss him!! He'll walk back into the team though no doubt as there is blatant favouritism going on.

Dont get me wrong, hes a class act, and is probably one of the best players on our books. I just dont think its working out for us / him, and am not sure signing him on a longer deal is the best option for us!

Wonder how the stats with him and without him compare????

We did get that good run of form before he was playing but we also had Turner in great form then too so it might not be related!

At the minute King seems our only clinical goal scorer! Eastwood should come in and prove himself with Juke as they did well at the start of the season and Freddy's goals to game ratio is still good!

Personally i would like to see king for another season, He's getting us goals even though were not getting the results and thats the main of point of a striker. But i'd be more then happy for eastwood and jez to start scoring in the next few games and keep him out the team aslong as we got strikers that find the back of the next i dont mind who players. But we shouldn't get rid of king yet.

We'd be in even worse a position right now if we didn't have King; he's been basically our only goalscorer for a good little period of time this year. Won't be happy if we don't keep him on another year.
