King nominated for Player of the Month (2 Viewers)

SKY Blues striker Marlon King has been shortlisted for the npower Championship Player of the Month award for April.

The City top scorer netted six goals in as many games during April for the Sky Blues to take his season tally to 13.

Also nominated are Simeon Jackson of now-promoted Norwich City, Middlesbrough's Scott McDonald and Ayegbeni Yakubu of Leicester City.

The winner will be announced tomorrow.

Marlon deserves this award he's been such a class player but I'm worried it might attract other teams to offer him allot higher wages then are club.

Yep agree - hope he doesn't win for that very reason. In fact I don't think the stiffs in charge would give it him if he scored 20 goals ion a month becasue of who he is. I would have bet heavily on a Norwich player being short-listed so I'm sure Jackson will get the nod.

Remember how any time our manager would win the monthly award it'd pretty much guarantee our downfall? Maybe King missing out is a prelude to him signing that contract. If so I hope we never win any of these awards ever again.
