Kilbane has been everything we thought he wouldn't be.

Was expecting a leader, a big influence, someone who would keep the side ticking, be in the thick of the action and would be a class above most of the League One players.

He's not been a leader, had little influence, has drifted out of games and at times you hardly have known he's there.

More like the new De Zeeuw.

Seemed like the ideal signing, experienced, good player, just the sort to motivate and get the best out of a mostly young team.

Unfortunately with some players it's not a gentle decline, can be good one day, tyen next day it's all gone.

Shame if that's the case with Kilbane as it was with De Zeeuw, but not something that anybody can predict with any certainty.

Completely agree, been a passenger in every game bar brum. I said before the season we shouldn't make him captain because he won't be able to keep up with the fixtures and should been used sparingly. Hopefully the new manager will scrape this diamond bollocks and sign a couple of pacey wingers on loan, dropping kilbane and baker in the process, and allowing Hussey to concentrate on being a left back rather than doing Kilbane's job as well as his own!

He was. That challenge in the first half summed his performance up. Awful.

Sorry but when this signing was made, I thought it the.worst of the lot, nothing surprises me about his performances they have been exactly as expected (garbage), he looks embarrassed to be on the pitch, he is finished, and I think he knows it,
Very rarely do signings of this nature work out, Wise being a obvious exception but I can't think of many more in recent times.
It smacks of "Jobs for the Boys"

Overpaid, ageing, knackered ex- Premiership midfielder whose legs have gone and couldn't give a damn about the club, appointed captain without having played for the club before, disliked by the supporters and no doubt costing a packet in wages. It's deja - vu all over again.

The football focus interview where he effectively stated he doesn't care if the manager picks him - there's a captain for ya!

Richard Wood for captain!

So it's Kilbanes fault now, along with Richard Shaw, Lee Carsley, big Oggy. Have you thought that playing with inferiour players might have something to do with his performances

Regardless of how is playing this is unfair. He has been available for every game - is he that disliked? - Sherwood showed zero appetite - there is no suggestion Kilbane is not giving 100% it is just that there is always a risk when you sign older players.

Wise, Hutchinson and Sansom worked
De Zeuw, Hendry, Latchford haven't

Oh dear, what a stupid original post. Sherwood cost the club a fortune was completely unfit and hardly played. Whilst Kilbane has been ineffective in the last couple he has put 100% effort into all of the matches including, 120 minutes against Brum.

Keith O'Neil would be the better comparsion with Sherwood.
