Could the TRUST maybe find the money to place an add in one of the nationwide papers to promote the petition?
Even more creative - if both the club and ACL are supporting the petition, maybe they would be happy to share the cost for an add?

They can't even share a room:thinking about: Besides they'd be suing each other for the money

As we've seen with the Ltd documents, every primary source is open to interpretation. That's why we have competing theories of history.

Exactly, but if all parties agree to signing a petition for an inquiry, why not skip the petition and the parties ask for an independent inquiry - all cards on the table - themselves. Then they can all put their version forward - with the evidence, and have access to the files of their opponents, and their opponents will have access to their files. Somewhere out there is the truth and only with all cards on the table will we find it. Needless to say, they are all bullshitting by signing the petition and no-one will show their cards anyway - so let's hope we get 100,000 signatures. I can't sign as I live outside the UK. :-(

Even 100k signatures will do fuck all. All it guarantees is that the government will look at it. Maybe an answer from a minister. There'll be no action. Ultimately what can anyone do?

I agree the CCFC geek in me would love to see lots of documents come out though. Just pointing out that it'll hardly be the end of the arguments. As a council tax payer and a person with morals based in socialism, I'm happy with the council's strategy regarding the Ricoh, including their stance towards CCFC. Even if something comes out that shows some minor oversight or other I won't be too bothered. It'd take a smoking gun showing actual impropriety for me to think that they haven't handled this well.

My issue is that is such a smoking gun existed, Sisu would be all over it. Labovitch and Fisher lie through their teeth to discredit those they oppose. From the constant mention of ACL having a PR group (like every public facing organisation) to accusing MMM of being PWKH to bullshit about the Trust leaders, lying about what people have said in meetings, lying about Simon Gilbert misquoting Labovitch about the land timescales. I tend to apply occam's razor and say that it's another slander campaign with the added incentive of fishing for anything that might help the JR case. It's despicable and a waste of public money at a time when people are being hit hard.

All I'm saying is that some won't care what the outcome is.

I for one signed it within the first 100 I want what is right for my club, and firstly that is to be playing in Coventry the rest can wait till later.

The truth will come out eventually.

Takes 2 seconds to sign it, makes almost zero chance difference to the petition getting what it wants to happen, makes you look good, the smart play is to sign it even if you are 100% opposed to it's success, it's a shame the telegraph gave them the publicity both sides.

Considering the effort sisu have gone to to avoid filling their accounts, it makes their signing it laughable.

exactly I couldn't agree more

whoopee we will sign it it will never make 100,000 and if it does, well 2 extra signatures won't have made any difference.

You can sign even if you live outside U.K. You are asked if you are a U.K. citizen OR if you live in U.K. I put in my Spanish addresss with no problem.

So if everybody is so keen for an investigation why don't they just put it out there saying "come and investigate us" and let an independent party to investigate all sides thoroughly.

There is no point making a song and a dance about signing a petition.

Just about to post the same after reading the CET.

Who would be the Paxman of Coventry to chair the debate?
