Just had a quick browse through. Not checked all the posts obviously, but I think most people have just been saying they are too far ahead for us to catch them.

Never ever said Burton will win the title.

Please show me the posts.

I said I can't see us catching them. Not going to bite with you, you cheeky little monkey!

Lol ok ok

Either way anyone who dared say Burton might fall has been given a earful. Nothing to suggest they will fall away even now but should not be ruled out

I don't mind a Southend win.

If the brakes are put on Burton and they possibly hit a rocky patch then it all opens up again.

This is the pressure end of the season...who's got the momentum to see this through?

I think Burton will now tail off. If Walsall beat them and we win our next few games..autos might open up.

Currently Wigan need halting.

Southend 3 Burton 1 - Getting tight now around the play-off spots - we could well be out of the top 6 before we play Fleetwood as Southend play Port Vale on Friday.
Be nice to put 6 past them and stamp our mark back on the play off spots!

I had a hit feeling Southend would do Burtin then screw up against Port Vake when expected to do the business.

I don't think it is unfeasible between now and the end of the season that Burton could lose three and draw a couple when we pick up points.

If we are saying all this after Burton suffer one defeat, what must they have been saying about our three defeats in a row?

Let's hope Burton do continue to tail off. That though needs to happen in conjunction with a great City run.

Some games tomorrow too.

Bury v Barnsley

Peterborough v Oldham

Rochdale v Fleetwood

Oldham, as stated before, have a fantastic away record. Barnsley have been sprinting up the table and it will be interesting to see how Fleetwood fare before their trip to us on Saturday.

Lets hope they don't suffer a hammering, and bounce back with a win like Bury did

Im not saying this will happen but remember Tranmere of 12/13 Flying high at the top with 17 games left, went on to lose 12 of their last 17, picking up just 11 points and finishing 11th.

Theres a long old way to go yet and Burton still have to face Walsall, Sheff U, Bradford, Milwall, Barnsley, Wigan and Gillingham, a lot of points to be dropped across the top 6.

We need to be a real physical battle on a boggy pitch, with 11 minutes of injury time added on and then losing to a Rochdale goal with the last kick of the match.

You also said that you would alter from this stance if Burton lost to Southend and Walsall and we beat Fleetwood. That scenario is certainly not looking out of the question now.

I agree and my stance is beginning to shift somewhat

Had Burton won last I would categorically say we wouldn't catch them. They would have been 14 points clear.

They are of course still 11 clear, but maybe a little bit of panic has set in now and perhaps they don't quite feel as invincible as they did before.

Burton play Walsall on Saturday and as it would suit us for neither of them to win, a draw would be best all round.

We beat Fleetwood and we would be 9 behind Burton and just 3 behind Walsall.

I think Wigan will win the title & Burton will falter. If we can get on a roll from now till the end of the season we might 'just' snatch 2nd place.

The main thing is that we do not drop out of the play off places.

Couple of back to back wins would be nice now.

What a great season this is, we are in the mix with a third of the season to go.
Compare that to the last feck knows how many seasons and it puts a smile on my face.

If we get automatic promotion.....brilliant!
More likely it's the play offs and that will be one hell of an achievement for us.

I would like 6 points from the next available 9 as a minimum

Fleetwood W
Barnsley D
Rochdale W

Could do with Barnsley not winning tonight. They've been on a fantastic run of late and must really fancy their chances against us a week today as it stands.

A bit of stuffing knocked out of them wouldn't go amiss to dent their confidence.

Agree with that. Barnsley need to lose this or draw. If we do manage 7 from next 3 games we should be in a good position to really push for the autos

Its in our hands really we need to win next 3 games to have any hope to be in the mix for the autos with one or two results going our way with teams around us.
